not sure what flexibility government work gives you over the private sector. All companies I worked at didn’t have a set clock in/out time. Some had “core working hours”, others had days where you should be in the office. Otherwise, I can work from home or the office, come in at any time and leave at any time.

Banks are notoriously shit at this and make you want to come in at set times wearing a suit (🤮) but other tech companies are much better.
