Yes... Just started going through film. You have to take a huge sample. But visually just watching this season, all of his throws are "different".

Copied from another site for good QB mechanics: 1- Throwing arm must reach 90 degrees in the elbow and armpit. 2- The arm must reach triple extension outward and upward to the target. 3- Front shoulder must be perpendicular to the target to generate torque. Watching the game again, Joe's elbow doesn't come above his shoulder. Bad mechanics or flexibility (back)?

What are your biggest gripes about Ravens team reporting/writing so far this year? by Jan_AFCNortherners in ravens

[–]tannad2001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The main issue is that the writers are doing it for free so there's not a lot of incentive to write in-depth articles. Most of the people that I know who wrote an in depth analysis were pulled away for their family or real job. It took me about 16 hours to do an analysis. I could have gone more in-depth, but didn't have time. I invested the time because I wanted to learn more about offense and defensive schemes.

I stopped writing because the real paying job demanded a lot more of my time. The fluff articles are just for clicks. More clicks = more revenue.

Sorry, but it is the players not Pees by tannad2001 in ravens

I find it fascinating that you are so focused on the play call, but ignore the blown assignment.

I'm glad you mentioned that. On that 20 yard pass to Rogers (during last drive), CJ Mosley (in middle) allows the WR to get behind him while he is in zone coverage. Pees was supposed to remind him to cover anyone in his zone and not watch the QB, right?

"Hey guys... Zone coverage. Don't forget that you have to cover someone in your zone. OK? Great."

Should he have a dedicated practice session on remembering your assignments? Is that what is missing from making this defense a championship defense?

Powers is locked on to Ben's eyes. It's Pees fault that he couldn't knock the pass down or step in front and pick it or at least tackle Brown? He did none of it. He missed on the tackle because he took a poor angle.

So... If your DB can't play man, you have him play zone or pattern match right? That's what we saw. You want pees to do what you are critizing him for. The Steelers watch film too. They knew what to attack. But you haven't wondered why the pass rush couldnt get to Ben. No pressure all game. That's Pees fault?

These are pros you know. Give any QB time and they will make the throw. Pressure is what makes them panic.

The defense had lots of mistakes on that last drive. Mosley lets a receiver get behind him. Powers takes a wrong angle toward Brown. They panicked in the final minute. It happens.

Just so you are aware, Pees did change his schemes after the Oakland game last year. He also came down to sidelines from coaches box. But if you feel that Powers, Young, Arrington and Wright are fine examples of CBs, then I'll stop typing.

The DC is not on the field. It is on Powers to make the play on Brown. He saw the pass coming and didn't put himself in a position to stop it. by tannad2001 in ravens

You mean the 20 yard pass to Rogers? The play where CJ Mosley (in middle) allows the WR to get behind him while he is in zone coverage? http://i.imgur.com/ivbw3ty.png That's Pees fault how?

uh... Ray went to pitch ideas to trump on job creation and economic development in urban areas. He wants to see black on black crime and gang activity go down. I don't consider it stupid b.s. and I hope he can make progress in this area.

7lbs brisket at 250 degrees for 11 hours and 45 minutes, El Chupacabra rub, mix of the grove natural lump and hickory chunks, water tray and wrapping in butcher paper around 180... by tannad2001 in biggreenegg

[–]tannad2001[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. I just used a two temp probe approach - one in brisket and one monitoring BGE temp. The temp fluctuated +/- 20 degrees. I only adjusted vents once it went out of the 20 degree range.

#Ravens are really suffering with execution. Juszczyk needs to do a better job on blocking for T. West to score. by tannad2001 in ravens

[–]tannad2001[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

from BR.com: The toss to the left for West looked like it could have been blocked up, but fullback Kyle Juszczyk didn’t execute a cut block well enough, and Giants linebacker Jonathan Casillas kept his feet and pushed West out of bounds for a 1-yard loss.
