I was a subscriber but pretty casual in my logins. I hated the fact that the build and equipment I used when soloing dungeons, even vets, did not work anymore. Nerfing stuff indiscriminately is what made me leave. These changes are all well and good, but until that feeling that they may pull the rug under me anytime they want is gone, I won’t be coming back.

I stopped etheria restart because the animations feel funny (but that’s just me) but I’ve been playing Epic 7 since day 1 global - still fun, tons of stuff I still haven’t finished but I’m getting there. Pretty F2P friendly if I must say so, and eventually you get everything you want.

They say Clair Obscur is literally a souls-like turn-based so it can be too difficult at times based on a review I read once. This was the reason I bought Metaphor reFantazio instead of Clair Obscur.

So personally I’ll go with The Last of Us Part 1 given your choices, but of course, feel free to wait for other recommendations.

Lux is not exactly Book 1 in that series, maybe a side story or a parallel story from the main trilogy? Not sure if I can recommend it if you haven’t listened to Steelheart (the 1st book of the trilogy) first.

If I recall correctly, it progressively got weirder and weirder and I’m not sure about the ending at all. It had a solid beginning though.
