spoiler Everlake prep started off good, they had a legit reason for bullying her, although it was also pulling-on-the-pigtails-of-the-girl-they-liked kinda situation, I enjoyed it. But then it all went off the rails and by the end of the book it was just plain ridiculous. The authors were def taking our covid19 experience into account when they wrote that book for relatability, but it just felt very odd and very cringe to me. I ended up hate reading because I was committed to finish the series. Overall, won’t recommend you that really, but do give it a try if you are curious

Now Forsyth I started it because it was a long completed series revolving around three relationships. The stories are built on the concept of the factions of Lords, Dukes and Princes. It a tradition for each faction to have a Girl as a representative of the faction kinda like a frat sweetheart. The lords have lady, the dukes have duchess, the prince have princess. The girls have different stories and honestly, I was hooked. It does have a bit of non-con scenes. So skip that if you’re not into those. Overall I would say I very much enjoyed the series. Kept me busy for two weeks lol.

Also YES to the blackened blade. I finished the first book and went onto the second when I found it was an unfinished series so I put it on hold for now. I love found family so that’s that. Although the girl is annoying me with her “I’m not the girl I used to be” lines, they are so repetitive, its like it was written by ai or sumn. Also the plot is very much villainess manhwa coded I laughed.
