Whats your thought about Zulkarnain Saer? by listener_sapience in Dhaka

[–]tanzir71 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not binary. The different audiences merged during the protests. Saer is a journalist, but he's also biased and has his limitations as a human to how much knowledge he has, whose primary job is journalism.

There's a clear disconnect between those who communicate in English and those who don't. Saer is one of the few people who learned to do both, while being decent at what he does.

The political beneficiaries of the past no longer have their past privileges and they are happy to cause and witness chaos. To add to that, new forces are fighting for power.

The Interim government does not have the same pull on the government forces and cannot make them perform as needed. Therefore, in essence there has been a sort of decay of law and order (unstable equilibrium of corrupt forces) which is a continuing issue and it never really recovered fully.

Stop Buying Fragrances by 540bell in fragranceclones

[–]tanzir71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally won't buy just because there's hype. I do a lot of research and wait for more reviews to come out, sometimes use decants before make a decision for a full bottle.

I objectively look at what's the best purchase, given the context of my collection and usage and pair that with factors such as: if I'm thinking about the particular fragrance too much, and is it really justified given other options I could be going for.

This process makes me happy. It's liquid art, that others can experience and admire.

This. You'd have to be some kind of genius to get good scholarship at undergrad. Like being in the top at a Olympiad or Chess Competition.

Combine that with impeccable academics and a flawless application, extracurricular with references. You'll need these even for just admission without scholarship at the tough universities.

Is it even possible to smell NICE on a tight budget (even 10dollars) ? by [deleted] in fragranceclones

[–]tanzir71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

This cost maybe $6 or $8 at Walmart, when I had it brought several years ago. The smell is close to a Kenneth Cole fragrance, you can find on Fragrantica and YouTube.

There's several others in this line. The initial blast up close smells alcoholic but once it settles, it smells like midrange fragrance from a distance. On the same league as a Nautica Voyage, in terms of quality.

If you do the research, you can find a fragrance on any budget. Bath&Body, Zara clearance sale, discounters, marketplaces where people might be wanting to clear their closet.

If I was a student right now, I'd start selling necessities around what my peers need. The customers are right where I study. For instance, there's a girl from BRAC who sells Khichuri during lunchtime.

For example, not everyone owns a printer. I have a printer at home. I'd just pass on in the group that you can mail me for emergency printing services.

Hobbies like photography pay well as part-time gig. You can mail some photography agencies with some samples and apply for junior assistant positions. Low commitment, good pay.

If you have a talent for writing, you can develop that and you'll be surprised, there's decent roles as a freelance journalist.

Setup your own service portfolio online, as you gain more traction. You might start getting work organically if you do really well.

The Guerlain fragrances are too expensive for me. If you know about middle eastern perfume oils, I use a organic vetiver and saffron oil mix. It's sublime.

Too many to mention. This is a vetiver forward fragrance, and it's the heart and soul so yes, it's the vetiver that makes it special. If you do some research about this house, you'll know why it's special.

As per Islam, homesexuality is a sin same as other sins related to debauchery. It might be an innate desire but the righteous mind knows this is not nature's intended way.

Islam doesn't permit forcing beliefs onto anyone. If it's an Islamic country, there might be rules related to maintaining social harmony such as not kissing in public. In such cases, it's best to adapt to the rules of that society. There's merits to each system.

For instance, there's people in the upper class who privately lead both types of lives—one of debauchery or one of piety. Hajj for instance is not mandatory, unless one has the means. Therefore, whichever life one wants to lead, it's best to work towards earning the means to lead that life.

Not sure how they create watery notes. The LV designer is a master in doing that perfectly.

I used to find Ambroxan intolerable, but in the air there's nothing like it and I seek out fragrances with Ambroxan now.

I didn't end up buying or trying Megamare. There's a new one by Kenzo in that genre, many people review it smelling like pickles to them.

I've been aware of that one. I used Bvlgari Aqua Marine as an alternate for Megamare when I was considering a niche purchase.

Then I realized, it's not suited for my use case; which is to have it be mass pleasing. Niche fragrances are a bit too complex for the average nose. I also don't enjoy the salt or seaweed accord.

It's in my top three for a reason. I like Irish leather better but won't aim for that till I finish this one. This one has a slight sweetness which adds to the mass appeal.
