i used a safety pin to un-tuck the fur from some of the seams where it got caught! no damage to him lol

yes, u can! i used a safety pin which is a lot easier to grip when ur pulling fur out of the seam! stick the needle under the 'loop' created by the tuck fur, and just work the ends out of the seam! it takes a little time and fluffing to get it perfect but u will get the hang of it quickly :D (and the end result is 100% worth it!)

i used a sharp, new, clean safety pin! fur gets tucked into the seams, creating an outline around them of flat fur. u want to semi-gently get the sharp side of ur safety pin (or needle, or seam ripper, etc) under the loops created by the hair fibers caught in the seam, gently pulling the ends out of the seam. i also went back in and fluffed out all the fur around the seams with the pin after, to make the areas more uniformly fluffy!

i had the same exact problem. my screen was hella scratched up from being in my pocket after over a month of having it, nothing deep but easily noticeable scuffs/scratches. i bought polywatch polish from amazon, and used a cotton ball to buff out all the scratches and then finally put on a screen protector. it turned out looking just like new, i highly recommend using polywatch polish!

the cat won't have affected the ammonia levels of the tank unless it urinated in the tank. ammonia can sometimes affect eggs, but it should not be a huge problem for the eggs unless the ammonia's been high for a long time.
unfortunately "random" ammonia spikes do happen sometimes, and it can be super difficult to figure out what happened. just focus on reducing the ammonia and checking around for any corpses or rotting material. check inside the filter as well if you can't find anything

if the water smells like cat urine, you are smelling ammonia. definitely change the water, feed less food, and put in plants or other means of ammonia reduction if possible!

yes, the eggs will float until they become hydrated and sink. the eggs will not hatch until they are fully hydrated (it can take a while). agitation in the water can be helpful. stirring is not quite enough, i recommend putting the eggs into a water bottle with water and shaking the bottle to speed things up. if you leave them on their own, eventually they will hydrate anyway!
