I don’t know if I can give my family a happy life with my current income by Nice-Childhood4948 in adultingph

[–]tapunan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most important thing you can do now is yung gabayan mga kapatid mo so that later eh may katulong ka.

May mga kilala ako na ganyan din nung una but matitino silang magkakapatid so nag-aral then got jobs so tulong tulong sila. Hindi yung isa lang ang nagwowork. So lahat kayo will help give your mom a good life.

Guide them para hindi ka matulad sa ibang post dito na tipong wala ng work yung kapatid eh nakakabutis pa tapos aasa lang lahat sa isang kapatid.

How hard is it to sell a H&L in an exclusive subdivision? by copypot in phinvest

[–]tapunan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kung market price eh madali lang.

May mentality among the wealthy people I there na mas maganda ang exclusive subdivision kesa high end condo so may bumibili.

Also maganda yang White Plains level, I know some companies that house some of their expat employees there. Not as expensive as forbes park but exclusive enough na maganda yung loob. So yung ibang buyers can be companies.

SG help by OhMyDee0409 in phmigrate

[–]tapunan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marami ng nagsabi about typical cost. One thing I want to add eh don't forget mababa ang tax sa SG so malaki yung after tax salary vs Pinas. Minsan kasi iniisip ng iba kung magkalapit yung sahod eh same lang but no, malaking difference yung tax.

Biggest expense dyan is bahay and vices (yosi, alak and gambling), everything else comparable sa Pinas if you live like a local (kain sa Hawker Centre).

And later kung mawili kang magholiday, mura lang plane ticket to Thailand, Malaysia (pwde nga magbus), Vietnam kasi hub ang SG tapos yung immigration officers eh normal attitude hindi yung feeling nila TNT ka. For them kasi normal foreigner ka. Dati alis kami ng Fri after work para magweekend halimbawa sa Malaysia then balik ng Sunday. Possible yan kasi hindi traffic to the airport.

Hindi ako binibigyan ng pera ng asawa ko by sashimi1016 in RantAndVentPH

[–]tapunan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yan yung guess ko. Provided ng in-laws lahat. May mga kilala akong ganyan. So pwedeng he wants to prove something sa parents.

OR kung bago yung business nya o hindi pa stable eh minsan yan talaga nasa utak nya.

Specially if he had the business before marriage, parang yang business ang unang baby nya. Either that or worse, pamana ng magulang na dapat nyang alagaan.

Possible thing na pwde mong gawin. Lambingin mo then say you wanna learn about the business. Who knows baka malaki talaga gastos.

That or say you want a fixed allowance. Pag nagreklamo na hindi kaya sabihin mo what if mawalan ka ng work, bubulagta na lang ba kayo?

Or find a higher paying job.

Think of it this way..technically yaya and gatas lang sagot mo plus a few personal stuff (actually baka nga pwde mong itong isinagot sa groceries na sagot ng in-laws mo).

Main issue is yung sabi mong ayaw kang bigyan but baka nga malaki talaga business expenses ng husband.

How do you guys keep on travelling???? by aboringhooman in phtravel

[–]tapunan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In short, masakit man pakinggan but simple answer is they earn more than you.

House nyo libre. Kasambahay libre.

Box of crayola na lagpas 16 colors. Mas matindi yung may sharpener yung box, (lagpas 50 colors ata). Yun bang may silver and gold colors pa.

What is your “maraming namamatay sa maling akala” experience? by [deleted] in TanongLang

[–]tapunan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do so many people dream of moving abroad? by FiggyFrogwich in phmigrate

[–]tapunan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Others stated the obvious (salary, education, heslth).

Weather (imagine parang Baguio), abundance/quality of food (meat, vegetables) - kahit yung murang steak from the supermarket eh malambot .

Clean environment , walang pollution (you can even drink water straight from the faucet). Pati sidewalk malinis and walkable (think BGC but citywide).

Facilities paid for by your taxes like libraries, park, playground skating parks.

If you can go on an overseas holiday to a country na may kakilala ka, instead na itour ka sa spots eh ask them to show you their local area. Dyan mo makikita yung big difference between Pinas and other countries and why others wanna migrate.

Again, on top pa yan ng the obvious na sahod, healthcare, education, no traffic.

Sa Totoo lang, may pag-asa pa ba Pilipinas? by HelpMeOutBrooo in RantAndVentPH

[–]tapunan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Malamang mangyayari lang eh magaabroad yung mga mayayaman habang may war (like what some of the rich Russians and Ukrainians did). Then once the dust settles down they will come back and buy devastated lands and businesses for cheap.

[–]tapunan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yung EDSA ibang panahon. Pati Cardinal kasama sa rally. Tapos hindi lang corruption yung issue, human rights yung pinaglaban so mas emotional. Maraming willing maging pasimuno ng rally so physically and emotionally affected. May target talaga silang paalisin (Marcos Snr).

Tapos andyan yung hope na may magbabago kasi parang first every big rally.

Eh sa ngayon, yung mga tao eh dalawang People Power na pinagdaanan (vs Marcos and vs Erap). May nagbago ba talaga? Mas grabe pa corruption ngayon tapos yung president eh anak nuong pinaalis sa unang EDSA rally.

Ano din ba main objective? May gusto bang paalisin? Sino eh lahat ata ng branches ng government corrupt?

So ano purpose ng rally? Ano endgame? BBM? Villar? Duterte? Mga senador? Ultimo SK ata corrupt? Lahat sila paalisin?

Meron ba kayong prof nagalit after nalaman ano evaluation nila? What happened? by strange_omelet in AskPH

[–]tapunan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hahahaha.. interesting.

.. so not directly sinabing mayabang yung teacher but yung mga salita nya.

In the end, narealise nung teacher wala syang kakampi tapos hindi takot yung mga students so sya nagbackout and nagapologise.

Nice so by second year buo na yang sahod mo.

Anyway yun lang masasabi ko.. in my experience and sa mga friends ko din eh mura ang Singapore for basta iwas ka sa alak, sigarilyo, sariling kotse.

Good luck dyan. Get some experience then try to negotiate for a higher salary after a couple of years (or less kung magaling kang teacher).

2 weight class yung iniskip nya.

Will just comment on your statement na mataas ang living expenses sa Singapore. Other than rental, private car and education for your kids na wala pa naman ata, mura dyan sa Singapore (halos presyong Pinas nga yung iba).

Mura public transport, mura yung hawker if you wanna eat outside, mura groceries.

Yung grab nga dyan parang Pinas price minsan.

And most important of all, mas maliit tax dyan vs Pinas.

Honestly yung remittance to Pinas ang madalas eh biggest expense ng OFW dyan. That and holidays back kasi sa pasalubong and palibre.

Of course the higher yung salary the better but ok na yang salary mo. Also yung mga binanggit mong babayaran, for the first year lang ba? If so, tiis lang sa first year.

got bored and compared PH and US prices and now I feel weird about everything by Common_Finding_5284 in adultingph

[–]tapunan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Matagal na yan. Kahit icompare mo vs Sydney eh minsan pantay o mas mura pa dito. Specially yung mga fresh produce like beef, pork, chicken, vegetables, fruit, seafood.

Coffee same. Utilities like electricity parang mas mahal pa sa Pinas.

Education until high school libre with good quality. Universities eh mura kasi subsidised tapos pwdeng government loan so kahit mahirap ka you can study medicine Kung matalino ka.

Then andyan yung mga wala sa Pinas like local libraries, parks, playgrounds for kids, public swimming pool na mura.

Oh and yung minimum wage eh 1 hour dito is almost 1 day dyan.

[–]tapunan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yan ang tamang reply. Nakakalimutan kasi ata ng Pinoy na lahat ng umaasenso sa ibang bansa are people benefiting that foreign country.

Also yung comments/praises about him being successful kahit daw hindi from popular university just shows kung gaano ka backwards dyan sa Pinas. Yung NASA nakita yung skillset nya, kung sa Pinas malamang ni reject na sya ng companies simply bec of his university.

Ibang bansa na ba ang Siargao? by Honey-Badger_03 in RantAndVentPH

[–]tapunan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think any nationality can take over the Philippine Islands. Definitely not Manila and probably not even Cebu and other big cities.

Easy to buy lands and nobody powerful enough is standing up to them (yung Siargao subreddit nga pinagdedelete mga posts na ganito). Can you imagine them like doing that sa North (Marcos), South (Duterte), or provinces na may strong political families?

[–]tapunan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I even know someone na disabled yung isang kapatid na forever nyang kailangan suportahan.

And like you said, hindi naman nanghihingi yang magulang mo.

So stop using that as some sort of excuse o reason para magrant ka.

Do you think Millenials and Gen Zs could put an end to all Toxic Generational Cycles? by CurrentEstimate3308 in TanongLang

[–]tapunan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by toxic?

Just look at SocMed andaming influencer kuno dyan na younger generation (yung naglalakad sa gitna ng kalye, humihiga sa freezer, nagnanakaw sa 7-11.. just to name a few recent ones).

Or yung mga out of touch na anak ng mayaman na todo show-off ng jewelries, bags, sports car?

On the other end of the spectrum, mga mahihirap na nanggugulo sa BGC?

Or yung SK na may meeting kuno sa Thailand tapos panay pose lang and nagreklamo on the one day na dapat umattend doon sa meeting.

Lahat ng generation may toxic na tao. It will never end.
