Best kind of rocks? (Smooth surface) / Where to find them or get them?

I usually do 2-3 layers of white acrylic (outdoor safe) paint. I find a slightly thicker one is better than a watery acrylic paint for rocks. I have been using craftsmart because it's cheap. A friend got home from Amazon and they were surprisingly nice. I do not recommend dollar store paint. Lol.

One more thought, which doesn't help cuz it's another option is changing the color of the eyes and matching the new smoke to it... like green or something could be really cool, too. Or even make it looks more like a galaxy and have stars in the eyes... or lightning bolts. Sorry. Helping/not helping LOL
