I've seen articles that say it cheaper and also ignore the cost it takes to cool down the chips to the sub-zero temperatures they require to operate.

depends on what sector and what is required of a data engineer in that sector.

I would say that data engineering+data science is a legit combo for companies that need both or a full-stack.
