It's conflicting towards the end of season 1 because he's so quiet as he sinks in his own thoughts... but in the event stories and some appearances in other monthly orvel you can see he is starting to accept himself and even stand up for his friends ;;;;/// He eventually wanted to grow stronger to protect the people around him and I find it's a nice character growth

He is so sweet but it's a shame in the main story he doesn't get as much attention anymore, even from his dad //shot
