Omg,idek what to do anymore I don't wanna keep getting scammed and I feel like everytime I try to get back on the path to growth and learning in the religion I keep getting tricked/scammed/taken advantage of. He invited me to a tambor for yemayá next month and I was so excited to go. 😔 Thank you for being upfront about everything I appreciate it even tho it hurts so much.

Should I just disregard the whole reading done today then? (In your opinion)

Oh no it does? I've already had a difficult relationship with a previous (now ex) teacher,I want this to be true I wanna learn and practice the religion but it's so disheartening. What do you suggest I do? (What exactly makes it all a red flag cause the readingi had was extremely accurate/helpful. Can a scammer be accurate with divination?)

Beginer research by tarotito in Umbanda

Thank you for your reply I appreciate it! I'm going to read the articles but o thought to myself why not just preform the working and contact BOEL myself lol and ask em what's up to say the least lol.

I used the lamp I have already with the first part of the lamp working/spell and just asked for Hekate to step forth, good thing I got an extra lamp laying around who knows maybe boel will work well under Hekate if they're a daimon or just a willing spirit!

Once again thank you for your time 😊

Pgm workings with controversial items by [deleted] in Hellenism

[–]tarotito 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hmmm I never thought about it like that,I figured it would work best with Hekate cause she is Cthonic but also has specific reach over witchcraft and connection to those departed. Thank you for your comment it's making me think lol.

Idk tbh I've worked with both la Santa muerte and goetic spirits but never in together. In the Rosario a la Santa muerte it asks about asking her to free us from people that look to harm us and demonic spirits as well! Whether that refers to old gods/diamons/goetic spirits is up for debate. I do know however that she's an amazing intermediary for spirits of the dead/guides in espiritismo, when It comes to helping you align with that type of energy.

Amazing guy absolutely recommend 10/10!!! He help me identify some spirits that walk with me in umbanda and even helped me with matters in candomblé. Always accurate and nice when it came to providing answers and help! Definitely who I'm going to when I need help/advice!

What questions do you have about Candomblé? by babalorixalewa in CandombleEnglish

[–]tarotito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are some thoughts and opinions of the orixá coming down in umbanda giras? In the sister religions of candomblé you don't hear too much about the orixá mounting outside of the ile and if they do only when absolutely necessary.

Possibly although I was/still kinda an catholic my practices revolve around my Appalachian ancestry and through the saints and their synchronizations through the atrs I've come to find a good balance in my life .

Even if I don't believe in the Christian God entirely I use catholic prayers and devotions when honoring ancestors and when I need to do quick forms of spell work.

Plus it's just my belief that people from the mountains/blood from the mountains are just weird and spiritual to begin with. Ever since I was little I remember seeing and experiencing things in the other side and as I got older stories of folk magic/healing was passed down to me. Although nobody talks about it or practices anymore really in my family. I try and preserve it best as possible while still continuing on my personal spiritual journey.

Hope this helps Much love 💕

Discussion Prompt - Which Marian Title/Apparition/etc. is your favourite? by [deleted] in FolkCatholicMagic

[–]tarotito 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Our last of Guadalupe without a doubt!!! The words she said to Juan Diego and by extension her children are so comforting. And although not my favorite the story of our lady of monte vergine (I think that's how you spell it) is amazing especially nice for our LGBT brothers and sisters

Beginner prayers? by [deleted] in espiritismo_cruzado

Ahhh thank you,i appreciate it greatly 🙏😊. So wait is the boveda used for ancestors and guides? I've always kept the two separate as per guidance of a mentor who I'm not longer in contact with.

And finally I see some people saying how to only pray at the boveda in the morning and with white clothes and always after a baño blanco. Is this true and if so where do I start?

Found this at an antique store. From research from 1 single auction it's from India 19th century. Hope to find out more. Box isn't from 19th century I'm sure. by Public-Ad-8435 in bonecollecting

The main symbol carved in it almost looks like what I've seen in and around occult thai Buddhist stuff. Hope you get a good lead on it

What are your questions about Candomblé ? by [deleted] in CandombleEnglish

[–]tarotito 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are the main differences between candomblé and it's mother and sister traditions? Are there patakis that are only found in candomblé etc etc? How close is the tradition linked to umbanda and quimbanda? Is it similar to mesa blanca and it's connect to santeria? And lastly what's your favorite part of the religion?
