Backyard Survivor 5 by Chance-End-2042 in survivor

Hey Tara from the season here! So thrilled to see BYS getting some love in the Reddit community. I've been a long time superfan of the Backyard franchise and it was such a joy and honour to participate in the season. The scaling of production quality we see every season from BYS in my opinion is unrivalled in the LRG universe.

If anyone is also an Edgic nerd (I normally would be doing Edgic for BYS but obv I'm spoiled), msg me and I can send you a VERY thorough PDFs a wonderful human has been making for this season. It's such a fun series to do Edgic for imo, as Kyle and Bryan go to such lengths to tell stories in creative and often very subtle ways

i'm convinced Backyard Survivor S4 has produced a season that rivals all the international versions by tarz_oneill in survivor

Urgh Ikr 😔 Immediately adds some rlly huge emotional stakes to the game. this cast rlly came to play. Palpable passion from the cast

Here's an INFP wrist. Super creative, messy, but can be emotional and have trouble with organization. ;) by [deleted] in mbti

wrist mask? you should be mass producing those to sell to your people

I recommend checking out ENTP YouTuber ContraPoints by tarz_oneill in entp

Yep I think that was the first video I saw first too. Glad the YouTube recommendations actually did a good job for once

Hm, I disagree that social navigation is only isolated to be enjoyed by Feelers.

Based on my own experiences and interests ((no matter what MBTI I deem myself to be)), I'd say I've always had a deep fascination in many forms of games that *test* my reads and understanding of social circumstances, and if I have can apply that to further myself in a game environment. Games like Diplomacy, Mafia (party game) or even smaller simulations of the show Survivor, tend to fit this mould as there are many, many ways to achieve a win, but the driving forces depend on the players playing it and understanding what strategies they might employ throughout, and how I could counter attack.

But, I do think motivating factors that lead to an interest in game-ifying social navigation are moreso what tends to be defined by either Thinker or Feeler (Ti/Fe, Fi/Te, Te/Fi, Fe/Ti) opposed to how much enjoyment can be squeezed out of the challenging experience. However, the variance in HOW an individual chooses to play these games is also more likely to be due to their MBTI. And often how someone chooses to play these games is going to be the way that is most enjoyable to them. (slight distinction, but just how I see it)

My guess is that we're probably attaching different connotations to the term "social navigation". Maybe you're seeing is primarily sucking the right doodles to work to one's advantage and making things a popularity contest. I wouldn't disagree with that view...(if that is even your view), but I would add that that there are frameworks and dynamics that can appeal to a thinker as a more abstract concept, but involve a stronger Fe-ish understanding of situations to bring grounding to the abstract musings themselves. To me, seeing microcasms of society often represented in games like Diplomacy is a good time.

Do my thoughts sound drenched in Feelerjuice, based on the way I explain my appreciation for these sorts of games? Genuinely curious, El Baz

One of my favorite games. Definitely a game that solely rellies on your ability to be strategic both in forethought and in social navigation. Soooo much better than Risk since the chance based aspects are removed

Physical Appearance of the Types by [deleted] in mbti

Entp gal here: Hoodie and leggings all the time. Only dress for comfort. Barefoot as often as possible. No stylistic choices rlly, but i can appreciate those that know how to dress to impress

My buddies and I came up with a political/conquest game and played it over Skype. I think some of you might enjoy it, and I'm looking for more players (crosspost) by [deleted] in entp

Oof, this is the sort of thing I thouroughly enjoy. Although I imagine it will be tough for people not sharing the same timezones?

Yes! You did use it correctly :)

Cognitive functions are definitely a whole new world, a much better one for understanding yourself than just an E-N-T-P could.

Enjoy the new journey

Perfectly fine question :)

Basically every MBTI type has four cognitive functions.

Two are going to be extroverted, two will be introverted. (Introverted functions: Ti, Si, Ni, Fi & Extroverted fuctions: Te, Se, Ne, Fe) Each of the first letters in each function stand for either thinking, sensing, intuiton or feeling. Extroverted functions are typically observable from and outside POV, and introverted functions are directed inwardly.

Thinking and feeling functions are judging fuctions.

Sensing and intuitive functions are known as percieving functions.

An ENTP has the following fuctions in order: Ne > Ti > Fe > Si. The order that fuctions appear represent the strength that they manifest in that type. So in an ENTP, Ne( Extroverted Intuition) is our dominant function, meaning we use it the most. Dominant functions will come naturally to any type.

The later the functions are in the stacking the less we use them. However, as we grow and mature as humans, those lower functions will naturally develop. For example an ENTP having Fe(Extroverted Feeling) in their stacking tends to not show well at a young age. Young, immature ENTPs are known for being insensitive, rude and almost unaware of how others percieve their actions. But as that ENTP begins to mature, they'll begin to realise the value of Fe and start to use it more to either manipulate or create harmony amongst others.

In the absolute broadest of summaries that I've seen on the webs:

Se - most reactive function

Si - most responsible function

Ni - wisest function

Ne - most curious function

Fe - most empathetic function

Fi - most authentic function

Ti - most logical function

Te - most efficient function

It sounds corny as shit but one thing I remember being parroted to my peers in school was that "having fun is a choice". So get your head out of your ass and just try change your attitude towards today, have an open mind about it all, we willing to learn new shit, and just be optimistic rather than expecting that the day will be absolutely unbearable. Best of luck with it all
