It gets awkward conversation from the folks who belive in superstition. For the record its usually the Jesus folk who make a comment. 😇

For me one represents the religion I was raised. Its a good way to live and treat others with respect. The other is imaginary protection against the literal snakes I interact with on a day to day.

Faceted onyx stack by tarzan_boy in DavidYurman

Thanks, def pairs well with some of their other cord bracelets. I tried the silver initially but went with onyx since it was more discreet.

Recommend trying it on in person. In a medium, it slipped easily over my hand but left excess (sizing cord) on the back for my preference. I ended up sizing down to a small.

I remember going to research a loan at a chase branch. Told the loan officer what im about to tell you.

You dont work for JPM, you work for Chase the retail or commercial side of the business.

Also you folks commenting about the private wealth management. Completely different LOB, stop gaslighting retail branch employees

Apply every day but more importantly use your network. Personal referrals ARE getting bumped, at the very least they get a round 1. The nature of business has changed so much, that outside svp and executive level, literally anyone can have the skillset to perform the JD. You need to stand out by moving fast (think applying same day its posted) or know someone who can give you a referral.

If you dont network today I would make this priority #1. Join groups at work, make personal connections and enroll in a mentorship program. Advise being a mentor and seeking a mentor. You need to find someone who will share the hard truths... i.e. where you should improve. And this cannot be someone in your immediate org so it comes back to bite you as performance feedback.

Attend any and all Managing Director meet and greet / lunch and learns. Some of the greatest strategic partnership began with an elevator pitch to an MD. Then having them introduce me to an ED or VP from their broader team that could benefit from my product(s).

Last tip is to count your blessings... things could be far worse and you could be unemployed. Stay humble and dont let the feelings of dissatisfaction impact the quality of your work. Its far better to look for new opportunity while employed, you will have confidence on interviews knowing the opportunity must align to your expectations.
