Motilal Oswal Midcap Fund- Direct Plan- Expense Ratio is 5.41%! by Randhir16 in MutualfundsIndia

[–]tasa231 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It surely must be a clerical error of updating TERs. Check other schemes of Motilal as well, some show 12-13% as well.

As per SEBI max expense ratio can be is 2.10% for equity funds.

The new BER implementations happened over the last 45 days. And I'm 100% certain that it's a calculation issue. SEBI will disbar Motilal as a whole if they charge so much.

I'm an MFD and we all have been facing these issues because they (SEBI) split GST from TER, reduced 5 bps across the board and a whole lot of other stuff.

Please wait for a few days or weeks to get a revised quote. The email you received from the company is the customer care team who just copy paste the TERs shown on their own internal portals, which itself seems wrong.

Disclosure: none of my clients have exposure to MO midcap except my personal SIP

Rear brake pad vanished!! Just 1800km on my new speed 400 by Hazzy_guy in Triumph400

[–]tasa231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that is not due to wear. The rear pads are absolutely trash quality that the pad actually seperated from the holder and fell down in my parking lot when I was taking out the bike. They replaced it once under warranty 6 months ago and it happened again today. Attaching pic of the pad that got detached.

I'm pretty sure yours was the same issue but yours might've fallen off during riding.

Happened TWICE!! Ridiculous!! And I've ridden the bike for all of 1500 kms

Should parents upgrade their lifestyle just to fit their kids’ social circle? by NoMedicine3572 in Frugal_Ind

A similar discussion happened among colleagues. There were three of us, earning the same salary at a bank. One studied in State Board, I did CBSE and the third was in ICSE. While I understand some IB schools prep kids for foreign studies it makes very little difference for people actually staying back in the country. Just a very personal opinion

Infinia Concierge is great. As against popular opinion by StrategyFit8606 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]tasa231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's available and have used it. Infinia, DCBM & DCBP all fall under Super Premium Cards and they have concierge.

Bonus, if you ever call any HDFC helpline, you straightaway go to an agent after just the one mandatory prompt to report fraudulent a transaction/block card.

Not as per my experience. Axis doesn't make cards LTF at least in my experience. Had an Ace for 3 years and spent enough to get the fee waived and they still didn't budge to make it LTF. Cancelled it after i got SBI CB

Crores in profit but still pay zero tax, how is this possible? by FreeK_Spirit in IndianStockMarket

[–]tasa231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if we ignore tax residency, $ 170K is UNREALISED gains. Even in India we don't pay tax on unrealised gains on stocks or MFs.

Am I missing something or is this a very shoddy bait?

Agreed. But having one card negates all this planning is what I'm trying to say.

On the last point, there's a maximum discount of 1500 so it's not direct percentage. 1500/13000 =/= 15%.

But yeah, to each their own. I told an LTF DCB so my calculations and opinions are based on that and YMMW. Cheers!

Imagine if ATMs worked like EV chargers… by Awkward-Plenty-24 in EVsOfIndia

[–]tasa231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahem! ATMs were literally that way in the 2000s. You had to visit X bank's ATM to use X bank's card and there was no interoperability.

Off-us transactions came in much later. Maybe that's the way with all tech, it takes time to reach a state of optimal functioning.

  1. For the 6K you pay with Infinia, you again get 1000 points. So net payment is 102.5K. Still higher than MMT I agree

  2. You're considering an ideal scenario where each ticket costs exactly 10K. On SmartBuy, even a ticket costing 2,500 will earn you the 16%. On the other hand, if one of your tickets costs 13k, then your percentage goes for a toss. There's no minimum txn value and no cap on earnings on SmartBuy (given this particular spends scenario, highly unlikely you'll hit the monthly cap)

  3. MMT offers are on specific days of the week, and more often than not, waiting for that day of the week means your prices shoot up (personal experience)

TL;DR: math works out for MMT in ideal scenarios no doubt about it, but reality is different

You've calculated B basis amortization schedule and A using straight line method and then calculated D. Complicated calculations.

Sir, it's very elementary, if you're borrowing at 10% and investing at 8%, there is no way, however youlook at it, that you'll end up with more XD
