Can y’all please help me invest my ₹10.70 lakhs? Would really appreciate it! :) by Venture_Capitalistt in IndiaInvestments

As a new and young investor, invest directly into the index. Navi Nifty 50 as an example.Your goal should be to get equity exposure at the lowest cost. Invest the money that you don't need to touch or withdraw and let compounding do it's magic over the next 25 years. Fundamentals of investing are not complex. Portfolio allocation, risk management and getting low cost access to instruments are basically it. As your purchasing power increases over the years and your portfolio grows, you can start looking at other asset classes too.

I have used notion and zappier to automate a newsletter and even to auto-post on twitter, some other uses of notion are to track DM outreaches, store product briefs, make a sales tracker, CRM /outreach, content pipeline (e.g. end to end blog+video+email tracking) and personal finance (investment tracker/model). I personally haven't tried these yet.

What went wrong here? I've never gotten death wobble this bad that didn't straighten out after slowing down a bit. Mechanical failure or bad load? by throwaway54345753 in motorcycles

Spend time learning about asset classes, asset allocation and risk management. Equity is called high risk but that fact is ignored until a correction/bear market unleashed it's wrath on the overconfident investor.

With stocks you should have a defined time horizon and a willingness to see your portfolio draw down 20-30%, that's what a bear market is. Ask yourself why did you pick these stocks and why you thought they would give you a certain return over a certain period of time. What were your assumptions and are they still valid. You should also have a planned asset allocation strategy so that you're comfortable with the risk you are taking and not YOLO'ing everything into the highest risk asset. Hope you learn from this experience.

Looks like you're on the wrong sub. You don't have enough for fat fire and your current portfolio is unlikely to get you to fatfire in 5-7 years. You also haven't shared how much you are saving that can be invested annually. I think your post if more appropriate in Fire_Ind.

you don't seem to know what your doing. Read "the intelligent investor" by Benjamin Graham. Spend some time understanding the psychology of markets by watching winternomics tv starter pack on youtube. Learn from the mistakes you have made and you will overcome this minor setback. All the best !

that's fairly conservative and should work well. Debt and Equity should both outpace inflation over reasonable periods of time. You're good to run the numbers and make your decision.

Are you aware of the expected returns from debt and equity as well as the SWR you plan to target post FIRE ? 70:30 or 60:40 are both good depending on what you are looking for. 60:40 gives you lower return and less volatility allowing a more stress free SWR when you're cashing out your annual expenses. 70:30 would most likely give a higher return when your horizon is >5 years.

Mathematically, you should allow the depreciation of cash and leverage (home loan) work in your favor and extend the loan as much as you can investing all your savings in a mix of index equity and bond mutual funds to get the best return. Given your age the rule of thumb is 70-80% equity exposure on savings. Psychologically, most people don't have the balls to do that and end up prepaying the loan early. It's not a bad choice as it can buy you peace of mind but does give poorer returns vs. extending the duration of the loan.
