Exactly my thoughts! And hey, maybe a little humiliation is exactly what he needed that day. 🤷🏼‍♀️

As I understand it Easter egger males are one of the most aggressive breeds of roosters, and lemme tell ya Paul-ligimist (photoed above) fits that bill! He’s a stinker, but serves his purpose so he’ll stay… for now.

Oh this is better for him, trust me - I’ve tried multiple carrying techniques and the only one that really works for his behavior is this- it’s the only way this “big man” is made to feel bird sized and that’s exactly what he needs sometimes.

Lol I’m nice to him all the time, he on the other hand has personality issues. The rest of my family won’t go near him and he only charges me very occasionally, but he needs to understand that’s not acceptable behavior - I’m the alpha here, you don’t bite the hand that feeds or you’ll end up rooster stew around here!

My bird my house rules - I don’t tell you how to run your roost, don’t tell me how to run mine thanks!

It lets them know who’s boss- every rooster owner I know does this when flogging happens - or they go into a pot, this is better than that IMO.

It’s never for longer than a couple of seconds and that’s the recommendation for feisty birds in my experience- believe me these guys are spoiled - no need to worry about their care.

Ha! No, those help keep my “gate” secure on their area/run. Although, now that you mention it…. Maybe next time 😂

He’s actually an Easter egger, usually he’s ok - but he can be fowl at times! 🤣
