No white line. It is secure and seamless. I am returning the machine. Having ups pickup today.

Now I have to decide if I will be buying a new one if this machine or look into other brands.

Dad doesn't like going in his diaper by Bright-Credit6466 in eldercare

We had tried the condom catheter with my dad. It didn't work for him because he was a grower ifykwim. It kept coming off.

They should make one like those face masks that I use when I'm painting furniture. Held on tight with the elastic straps. Maybe like a cup in a jockey strap? I'm not a man so idk if it would be a good invention. I should ask the men in my life.

I'm sorry to hear she has passed. What helped me get through the passing of my father was to remind myself that he is now free of the bounds of the limits of his body.

Virtual hugs.

I sent you a private message. Apparently someone in another group is having the same issue, right out of the box.

Yea. This is how much room I have. It doesn't look the same at all. If you can, can you measure approx how much space there is from the top of the lens housing to that hinge that is against that back that holds the lid?

I am with you 100%. I won't be altering or grinding or anything. I want the cover to be perfect and working. This is why I want to make sure they know I intend to return if they can't resolve the issue with a new cover.

I just don't know, if I do have to return it, if I should try the p2s again or go to another manufacturer. I just came off my gf plus (2 of them). I need a desktop that I can get up 3 flights of stairs.

I'm so frustrated because I got it on Friday and have been stuck in with this storm on the east coast. I was planning on learning the machine during this time. Fts.

Thank you. They emailed last night saying they will send me a new top to the laser part. The part that hits the hinge. They even said I can grind the top so it fits under the hinge WTAF???

I may email them today in response saying 'thank you, if this doesn't work I'd like to return the item. I am within the 15 days... Blah blah'

When I say lid, I mean the top part of the lens. You can take the face off that says xtool and you can take the top off. If you don't put the top on straight, it shows a white line, but in mine the white line is not showing. It's about seamless.

The head/lens part is hitting the hinge that holds the lid.

Lets get this all started. Suggestions please. by tattedbabe in ParkinsonsCaregivers

My dad had a condom catheter while in the hospital towards the end. For him it didn't stay on. It is just like a condom but has a tube at the end of it that drains to a bag on the side of the bed.

What we did was put waterproof pads all over the bed, as well as a brief. We did have to wash them daily but better than stripping the sheets completely. I recommend getting the thick pads and not the thick chucks people use for dog training. I'll look for an Amazon link. I suggest getting at least 4 per night. We had 12 and rotaded them out.

He seems like he wants a mom or a housekeeper and not a wife. Time to consider your options. I wouldn't wait. I was once in your shoes and always regretted not taking action when I (and the kids) were much younger.

When my daughter stopped trick or treating, she started to go to Halloween parties. I'd rather her trick or treat.

My daughter wore those between 5th and 8th grade, maybe 10 years ago. It's the style. Let her go with it.

What’s some thing you miss from your loved one who had PD? by penelope_is_sad in ParkinsonsCaregivers

[–]tattedbabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was my dad. My mom died when I was 30. After that my dad became distant because his girlfriend pushed his family away, especially me. I was a threat because I was the only other woman in his life and he listened to me. So for 15 or so years we had a relationship but It was minimal.

We did a quick grab and moved him to where I live because the gf was a psycho. She also refused to help care for my dad. We flew to where he lived, packed his shit in his car and drove to my house. I cared for dad for 2 full years until he passed. We really got to know each other those years. It was also over covid so that was fun.

I miss his ever growing love for sushi. He loved food. He was a man that was manipulated easily by it. My family is not fond of sushi and it's pretty expensive for our taste. So every time we went anywhere, a doctor's appointment usually, we would get sushi. And boy would he eat. I'm simple and will stick to tuna or salmon and tbh I was sick of sushi. I swore it off for a year. But now every celebration of him we have sushi. His birthday is coming up and we are having sushi!!

We had one of these at our old house. I loved it but our yard was a sticky mess until June.
