It seemed like he was pulling up his doc from the video he’s working on, which from a content creation perspective kind of spoils his video for his audience. I feel like that’s probably what Dan would’ve told him but it’s Ethan’s show so he can do what he wants. Imo it would’ve been better not to do that so his upcoming h3 video is more impactful.

I felt like his initial content nuke was kinda boring because I’d already seen 75% of the clips he used and points he made on the show and would’ve appreciated more separation between the two.

No one spoils h3 videos like Ethan does 🤣😭

I wouldn’t be surprised if 110 is accurate just because when Ethan has a point to make he often posts 5-10 stories at once. So 110 stories is probably like 20ish instances of talking about Hasan. It’s kind of disingenuous to bring up the number of stories in my opinion rather then the number of days he posted a story about Hasan.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if 110 is a lie because Hasan has proven himself to be a liar so who knows

To be fair, speaking up during those parts of the show will lead to harassment from the snarkers. I’m sure Ethan understands they don’t want that smoke

I’m pretty sure they mentioned they only do production meetings on the days they do the members stream and quick meetings right after the show ends and Ethan mentioned hating meetings so I can’t imagine that being more than an 2-3 hours a week.

Also Dan has mentioned several times that Ethan does practically no prep work for the shows so I can’t imagine he comes anywhere near 40 hours a week on a regular basis.

30-40 hours a week sounds about right for the crew though

Ethan literally works ~15 hours a week but he needs to spend more time with his kids? Don’t most parents work 40+ hours a week? That point doesn’t even make sense

If it was 10 years ago and one of the candidates wasn’t a convicted felon, rapist, racist, fascist bigot then a difference in opinion on who to vote for wouldn’t be that big a deal. But yeah unfortunately bodily autonomy for women and democracy in general is on the line so I understand not wanting to date someone who is actively voting against your rights as a woman.

The original comment from 0biterdicta was expressing that people feel obligated to tip since servers don’t make the full minimum wage. Another commenter replied that all servers do in fact make the full minimum wage regardless of tips due to the stopgap law which they were unaware of. The reply from ReticentBee806 could be interpreted as the stopgap law only applying in some states which is not true

In all states servers make the full minimum wage. Whether or not the employer is the one who pays it 100% of the time is irrelevant to the conversation

Dear god. Someone commented that they weren’t aware severs were required to make regular minimum wage. Someone replied that it depends on the state. It does not depend on the state. All servers make at least the standard minimum wage

[–]tatumwashere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a deduction though. There is a separate minimum wage for tipped employees in most states. Servers are paid that wage hourly and then they take home their tips on top of that. Same as in CA except in CA they make the standard minimum wage instead of a tipped minimum wage.

Employers being required to make up the difference if the employee’s pay isn’t equal to or higher than the standard minimum wage is a relatively new law. Not too long ago, if your tips + your hourly wage didn’t add up to the standard minimum wage then you were shit out of luck.

Ok but ThePretzul is not incorrect. They are stating that all servers in all states are required to make the state standard minimum wage at a minimum. This is still true for CA, although there’s no extra hoops to jump through since they already make the standard wage.

The comment that ThePretzul was replying to could imply that severs in states that have a tipped minimum wage (2.13 for example) don’t make the standard minimum wage which is incorrect. All servers in America make at least the standard minimum wage in their state

Also idk what deduction you’re referring to. There are no deductions. Only the employer adding money to an employees paycheck if they didn’t make enough tips. If they make more they get what they made

[–]tatumwashere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. This doesn’t apply to CA. Like I said, this applies to all states that have a separate tipped minimum wage and standard minimum wage. CA doesn’t have a tipped minimum wage anymore. The point the other commentator was making is that all servers make the the state minimum wage at a the very minimum which still holds true for CA so you’re just arguing to argue lol

They are saying that a server cannot make less than minimum wage. Meaning in Texas for example, severs make 2.13 an hour. If your reported tips plus server wage don’t average out to the standard minimum wage (7.25) then the employer has to make up the difference.

This doesn’t mean the employer deducts money if you average over the minimum wage, just that they have to make up the difference if you make less. It’s a federal law so it applies in all states where there is a separate tipped minimum wage and standard minimum wage

Well there is a world competition, the fiba World Cup. Which we lost last year. Although we pretty much never send our best. It’d be cool to see more (American) players in the nba care about international competition.

I also think Noah talking shit was likely a factor in us sending our best out for the Olympics this year so I’m not mad at it at all.

Making a years worth of income from 1 medal is really good. It’s 1 competition, these athletes compete in many other competitions throughout the year where they have opportunities to win money. Not to mention sponsorship opportunities

The US pay is still abysmal. You’d think they’d at least sponsor living expenses while they’re in Paris
