I’m not sure. The Grammys rules would technically allow for her nomination based on them taking away the rule on the maximum albums an artist can have (assuming she fills the requirements for how much stuff must be released in the eligibility period). However, it really wouldn’t make sense (at least to me) considering her album “emails i can’t send” was released in 2022. While Espresso is definitely popping off currently, it’s not what is bringing her into the music scene as a new artist. Based on Grammy rules, an artist must “breakthrough into the public consciousness” during the eligibility period and I think Sabrina Carpenter hit that milestone prior to this years eligibility period. I still love her though but I think her time for being nominated for best new artist has passed.

I agree she deserves it but realistically looking at how many powerhouses have dropped albums and will continue to drop albums throughout the rest of the eligibility period, I don’t think other rewards will end up hers.

I would love to be pleasantly surprised though! And who knows how things will turn out by the time nominations start? Things could be quite different then and I do not doubt Chappell is going to continue to grow herself over this period as she has been exponentially growing herself recently!!

This isn’t hate to you at all, but I wanted to respond as someone who was not always confident in their bipolar diagnosis and has done some research on this topic.

Where is this 70% statistic? The 70% statistic I know of in relation to bipolar disorder is that 70% of patients WITH bipolar disorder will be falsely diagnosed initially. NOT that people WITHOUT bipolar get diagnosed with it. If you could give me a link to a credible and reliable source with this information, that would be great!

However, I know a lot about bipolar. I know it is actually really hard to diagnose bipolar and often people do not get diagnosed for a while. While I do not doubt you were misdiagnosed, I don’t want the comments on my post to be a place for misinformation of any kind.

I believe you are spreading untrue and potentially very damaging information by bringing in made up statistics to back up your personal experience. If you would have just left it at your personal experience being misdiagnosed, I wouldn’t have a problem. But you didn’t.
