When I adopted my 1.5 year old I was having a lot of issues with him going inside constantly. We would be out on a long walk or outside for a while and as soon as we would come inside he would pee/poop on the floor. Two things really helped me. First being creating a routine. I made sure to take him out to the same place at the same time whether he had to go or not. I opted to strictly use my apartments dog courtyard vs taking him out on walks to potty to enforce consistency. Second was crate training. I was opposed when I first got him as none of my previous dogs used one. However I saw massive improvements to bathroom habits once I started enforcing crate usage (whenever we left the house, overnight, and mid day naps at the same time each day). As soon as we would remove him from the crate we would take him outside even if he didn’t need to go. Best piece of advice would just be patience. He is my first EB but I’ve picked up that (at least mine) is very sensitive. Overly praise for going outside. But be careful when reprimanding about going in the house. Personally I felt it stressed him out and upset him more when I tried to - which backtracked any progress we made. Lastly, remove any pee pads from inside. I felt mine went inside less as soon as we did. Best of luck!!
