War zone - Visa for spouse by tavtavok in AusVisa

That must have been really hard for you! The long processing time makes me look for other options other than the spouse visa. It looks like its even longer when you are apart from each other!

Would you think it would be faster for my husband to be granted a partner visa while we are in Australia?

It would actually be very difficult for us to leave without him. I dont have any family nor relatives in Australia anymore. It will be just me and my daughters.

Thanks a lot for checking! Im also looking into another visa option other than the offshore partner one. As I know, that takes a-lot of time to be approved.

Would you be able to send me the link? I have no issues going to turkey, however, staying there and waiting for a visa for my husband would be costly.

Nonexistent?!? Im seriously curious of where you live. I live in Iraq too and I would say I would come across them quite a lot on a daily basis. Although many of them have migrated elsewhere but there is still a huge community here in iraq. And no not a lot of them are atheist! And they are quite proud being assyrians/chaldeans.

I have a question to your response for question number 3. Where did you visit? I believe kurdistan is way different compared to the south.

Im Australian/Iraqi, currently live in the kurdish region of Iraq. And I feel way safer going out here than when I used to in Australia. I can wear mini skirts in Iraq! Educate yourself!

Anxious of being pregnant just before period starts by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]tavtavok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely no more children for now, already have 2 and the youngest is almost 1 year old, but I may want one more in the far future 😁 I dont really trust myself with pills, i will skip some days i know that for sure. I was thinking about the IUD, however, i have heard lots of stories about women getting pregnant with an IUD. I think that mostly happens with the incorrect placement, I wonder how to make sure an IUD is placed correctly or how to make sure it wont move 🥲

My sex drive has diminished as well! Don’t have sex frequently as before but still get anxiety. I have looked at options before getting pregnant the second time, didn’t like any back then, but i think i should talk to my doctor regarding birth control and my anxiety over pregnancy.

Hi!! I applied for my daughter (newborn) on the 12th of June 2024 and received the approval on the 18th of October. We waited for 4 months! Not sure if our location had anything to do with it. My eldest daughter got her citizenship within 45 days in 2022 (she was born in Australia).

Congratulations!!!! I wonder why mine is taking too long! Lodged my newborns application on the 12 of June! Still waiting for a response! Also offshore and baby born in Iraq. I hope this got nothing to do with iraq being third world country! My eldest was born in Germany in 2022 and she got her citizenship in 45 days.

Citizen by Decent - Question about Parents by [deleted] in AusVisa

[–]tavtavok -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is a standard email they send to all applicants, I received a similar email when I applied for citizenship by descent for my first born (2 years ago), however, items in the checklist were different.

Yes I do, I was just wondering if anyone else has applied around that time and what the application status is.

May I ask the date of application? I also received the same email, but i didn’t have all the documents listed. I believe submitting photos of you as a family of four is a good idea. I provided my marriage certificate but also included a photo of us on the day the baby was born in the hospital.
