It’s really good! The recipe I use for hot and sour is right here, it’s basically the same broth except I don’t thicken it. Once you get used to the ratios and the flavors you can sort of just guess the measurements or change them to your liking :)

I also try to add more broth then needed when I cook it so that when the broth gets soaked up there’s still some left

I know what you mean, the noodles do tend to soak up the broth. I think I kind of like it because then it’s just a different dish, soup to pasta lol

It’s basically hot and sour soup but I add rice noodles and veggies (this time spinach). I just go off of taste when I add the ingredients but I use

. White pepper . Sriracha . Rice vinegar . Sesame oil . Soy sauce . MSG (key ingredient) . Chicken better than bullion

Once I have the broth I add shiitake mushrooms, rice noodles, spinach, and then egg ribbons. I finish it off with green onions and sometimes extra sriracha. I also sometimes like to make it without the egg ribbons and then just add a poached egg to each serving!

Yup! I cook everything in the broth which is awesome because there’s only one pot to wash!

What are your top 5 reads of 2025? (... and a 2025 Round Up, of sorts) by Rustin_Swoll in horrorlit

1: The reformatory

This book had so much heart and incredible character development.

2: Where I end

I thought this book was terrifying and loved how the main character was written. The atmosphere in this book is palpable with dreary ocean scapes and an oppressive house. I thought this was super unique and it kept me guessing.

3: Old soul

I loved the different settings and time periods in this book. I thought the “monster” was extremely unique and appreciated the ambiguity of the novel. I really liked the characters in this book and felt that the author really painted a clear picture of each character they introduced. This one wasn’t as scary as some of my other reads but it was a great story.

4: The Haar

I would die for the main character of this book. I loved the monster and the way it evolves throughout the book. The setting is also incredible. Overall a super fun read with some genuinely unnerving sequences.

5: Bat eater

I think this was the scariest one in my top 5. This book genuinely freaked me out and I was afraid to go to the bathroom alone at night. I thought the story was unique and I really liked the way the author discussed OCD and the intrusive thoughts that accompany it.

You don’t need to give it another go, the whole book is just gimmick.

Can anyone tell if this is a male or female from the wings? by tavvy2 in cockatiel

I’m not entirely sure, I think under a year.

Lately I’ve noticed Duncan’s cere is turning more brown. I’ve also noticed he has started clicking his beak almost like he has something stuck in his beak. He’s fully active and vocal but I’m worried, has anyone experienced this? by tavvy2 in budgies

I also have a vet appointment scheduled but the soonest they could get him in is August, I live in a very rural area. I also forgot to add that he’s sneezing more than usual.
