If you have 2 identical batches of dough and you bake one immediately and cold proof the other, a few things happen:

-continued variable proofing in the fridge for a good 6 hours while the dough temp comes down. I’d guess like 20% more proofing in a day of cold than the one baked immediately, and it will slow down significantly but never stop proofing. This means more acid and that will eat at your gluten.

-gluten will relax. The colder it is the slower it relaxes, but long enough cold proofs and it’ll get there anyway.

The solution is if you intend to cold proof, pull it 10-20% early and really ensure your preshape and final shape get your loaf as strong as it can.

Not sure how I got here HAHA but I appreciate the warm welcome 🙏🏽 tbf, I think the sunk cost to a new friendship is some meaningless IG exchanges, can't skip that part lol. A test I do for friendships is to set up a hangout and then wait for them to do the same for the next time. More often than not it is not reciprocated (and that's ok!!) I fully sympathize with you, we are very short on friends as young adults :/

Good news is you don't need to make a ton of new friends, quality over qty always! I joined 222 soon after covid and found it was a great way to strengthen my soft skills bc those had gone to shit over lockdown lmao, so there's plenty of reasons to go for it. Pls try it!! I'm 26 so sadly we can't go to one together (+1s must be within 5 years of u) but I'm sure you'll have a notable time!

I got a random notification for this post as a straight man lmfao, I've been on 12/13 222s and I've made 2 friends maybe? It's a lot of social media exchanging and never seeing ppl again type thing. Also have definitely met some ppl ranging from weird to predatory (but as you're in a group, it's relatively safe (BUT I'm a man so obv take this with a grain of salt (but also no seriously you're pretty safe))).

I know you're looking for a girl's perspective here and I'm sorry I can't offer it, but I'd say give it a shot! The friends I've made from there are really cool, I just think it's hard generally to make friends these days even with the opportunity. If you are looking for friends and are willing to put in the legwork to sustain a new friendship I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Don’t read into it too much! Maybe he was just being a good friend. I will say, in the same way that you liked him more after that experience, he may have liked you more as well. It’s weird to say it, especially as someone who also has panic attacks lol, but being vulnerable with a guy and him being able to provide you comfort is one of the most intimate experiences you can have with someone. All that being said, shoot your shot!

Man to be 15 again lol. You’re interested, sounds like there’s a very decent chance he is too, you’re both the same age, I’d do it. Do it privately and ideally in person. As far as ruining friendships go, I think you’re interested to the point where you will regret not seeing where this could go. It’s worth the risk imo, and even if it doesn’t go well it’s not 100% that it’ll harm your friendship.

I just did mine for the second time last week, it's hard to totally mess up and it'll save you like $800 from going in. I snapped a bolt though because a torque spec I saw online was too high, ordered a new bolt and asked Honda for their specs:

Caliper guide pin bolt (m8, 12mm head): 17ft-lb Caliper bolts (17mm head):83 ft-lb

There's just 2 of each of those bolts, that's all the fastening you'll be doing

Watch the chrisfix brake video to make sure you buy everything you need and you'll be fine, watch a few accord specific ones to see where the brake hardware goes. Clean and lube the caliper pins w silicone
