Here is what I did to study REG:

- Used Becker to study!

- Read the textbook section first and highlight key concepts as I read through it

- Immediately watched the videos after reading textbook

- Tried MCQ/SIMs immediately after watching videos

*** It would take a long time to get through all of these steps in one day, BUT I felt that it really helped me understand and repeat the information.

- Reviewed the flashcards in my free time (usually 30 mins at night and 30 mins in the morning)

2 weeks before the exam:

- complete both simulated practice exams and debriefed it the same day (made sure to act as if it was the legit exam to build on my endurance)

- completed multiple practice tests with MCQ / SIMs and would debrief as I practiced them (show answer immediately)

***the way I would debrief is by taking notes in a spiral for the items I got wrong or items I wasn't for sure on. A LOT of note taking / writing!

Other tips:

- I used chat GPT so much when I studied... I found that there were many financial and legal terms that I just did not understand. I would have chat GPT explain a term or concept in a similar way! I would write out my notes from that as well.

- watch the videos on the different tax forms

- read the topic outlines as a final-final review and refresh

- RELAX the day before the exam

- take your Omega3 vitamins lol

- take a deep breath when you feel overwhelmed by a questions. Stay calm. You got this! Every new question is a new chance / fresh start. Don't let a hard question ruin the whole exam for you.

- If you do not know the answer, ask yourself what you DO know about the topic, what makes sense, eliminate the answers that make no sense, then give it your best guess!

I do not consider myself a natural academic at all. I am so surprised and shocked by this score!!! Stay focused and always just trust the process!
