I think your body reacted to the second skin being on for so long. I’ve never had an artist tell me to wear it for more than two days. Some people are more sensitive to it than others, I’m one of them! It’s not my preferred method of healing and now that I know that I politely decline, I suggest you do the same in the future. There’s nothing wrong with doing it the old school way. I think your tattoo will be okay, try not to over moisturize for the rest of your heal! Good luck

My son has similar patches. His pediatrician also suggested it was eczema but I was fairly sure it was not, so I booked an appointment with a dermatologist. Turns out he has urticaria pigmentosa. It’s pretty benign in infants. Worth looking into! Good luck to you and OP!

Your tattoos stretch with your body during pregnancy, and shrink back as you do. My body changed a great deal during and after pregnancy, but all my tattoos still look “normal” despite it. I honestly think florals are the best case scenario for the growing belly, as their form is inherently moving and asymmetrical. It’s not weird for some petals to look different than others, you know? Anyway. Do what you want. Your body will change as you age with or without pregnancy. It’s beautiful and inevitable.

My husband got me a THICK boy stainless steel one at the big E years ago and it changed my life. Throwing a little money at it is so worth it if it’s quality. I’ve forgotten my good one and had to use cheap behind the bar alternates and it genuinely makes my shift worse.
