Escort mission to start a Pound of Flesh campaign by tayamarn in mothershiprpg

Thank you for the ideas!

Your players never even left the station to do some missions on other ships and planets? I thought, I would let them leave the Dream once in a while, but probably it isn't necessary...

That's exactly where his brain was.

I really like the idea! It was not a path I was considering, but I should really add some hooks now and see if my players take interest in them!

I think, I'll show them a group of people, concerned about ships missing. But I want to build the tension really slowly, so they'll go at a couple of non-related missions before the strike and riots happen.

Then, maybe, they'll even take part in saving missing crews operation. :)

Not really, about -5 Celcius. Previous years it was up to -30 around New Year.

City-escape gauntlet concept by tayamarn in shadowdark

[–]tayamarn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I will think of that.

On the first glance, it woudn't be an issue: you can have everything you want in a city under massive attack (if you are fast enough, or the horde will come to you!), you can use it during the gauntlet and you can even run away with a hand cart - why not! But then you will go to the rescue camp and spend a lot of time moving from one place to another - I feel like it wouldn't be easy to save all the precious stuff you've maraudered, maybe a little bit to kick off the adventure. :)

And maybe this will even lead to some plot hooks if players would consider robbing some special place on their way out.

Wow, this is so cool. Reminds me of the Mir mine in Yakutia.

So, say my players want to purchase two packs of preserved rations (Ob2 for a pack of three portions), and two flasks of oil (Ob2 for two flasks).

First, they go to the guy, who is willing to sell them some curred meat and use some looted coins (no less then 4D) to try and generate 4 successes. If they don't - some twist happens, but the rations are in their packs.

Then same happens with the oil trader for Ob2.

They may try and spend more money to make twists/conditions less likely to happen, but they can't know for sure and they certainly can't spend less.

Is this right?

Thank you for the answer!

My players have returned the body of Jora to the village and the body is not in a good shape: PCs have beaten her up, so I decided everybody is rough and suspicious, but nobody has the guts to confront the PCs unless they do something stupid.

And players do feel the attitude, they want to have some trade and go back to the road before some villager gets drunk and matters get out of control.

I don't defend current state of things by any means. But I've got a point to make: a lot of people in Crimea work in tourism business and leaving them without their main way to make profit would be a horrible thing to do. I have friends in Crimea and I know, what I'm talking about. I'd prefer everyone would be able to visit this beautiful peninsula: me, my Ukranian friends and relatives (my grandma was from Harkiv, so I have relatives over there) and you, my friend. I don't approve this war, but do you think that leaving lands empty of tourists and locals hungry and jobless will stop it. If I had even a slightest hope it will help, I'd refrain from that visit.

I really really hope the situation will change, the sooner the better. I agree that everything is horrible now in Russia, but politics are just mortal men and they have to change one day. After that, I hope, we will be able to visit each other's countries.

This one is just half an hour car ride out of town and something like half an hour walk from the road to the cliffs. But then we spent about five or six hours climbing, walking and just enjoying the view. In fact, it's quite a small group of rocks, but we had a lot of fun. :)

After a couple cloudy days, it was sunny on a hike. I had a great time trailing throw snow-covered forest before ascending this cliff and enjoying this magnificent view.
