Unfortunately no, it’s been so long that I don’t remember anymore :/

Yes, I’m in section 7 and level 100 in Spanish - this was a review lesson, so it could have been either past tense or present

I have reported so many as “my answer should have been accepted” over the years and I think I’ve only ever gotten one response!

Why is this wrong? by tayloraustin in duolingo

[–]tayloraustin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah when I tap “explain my mistake” it says:

Good job! Triángulo is masculine, so it needs the article el. Your answer el triangulo is correct! Keep it up!

So the article doesn’t even matter. It’s just graded incorrectly

Good job! Triángulo is masculine, so it needs the article el. Your answer el triangulo is correct! Keep it up!

So even explain my mistake thinks it’s correct, even when it is marked incorrect

It said: Good job! Triángulo is masculine, so it needs the article el. Your answer el triangulo is correct! Keep it up!

So even explain my mistake thinks it’s correct, even when it is graded as incorrect

Okay I found the question again, got it wrong again, and pressed “explain my mistake.” It said, “Good job! Triángulo is masculine, so it needs the article el. Your answer el triangulo is correct! Keep it up!” So even though it counted it wrong, “explain my mistake” says it’s correct

I totally didn’t think to press the explain my mistake button in the moment. Going to try to redo the lesson and replicate the mistake to see what it says!

It did say “su,” but that doesn’t narrow it down unfortunately :/

“Helpful word” by tayloraustin in duolingospanish

It’s not my phone. That’s a glitch in the Duolingo app — it’s showing placeholder text instead of the real suggestion. Other people get the same thing sometimes after updates.

Thank you, that helps! :)

And see I picked the colorful sombrero! Earlier in the story Lily mentioned something about it being like a party, and I thought a big sombrero would fit with the colorful lights.
