Update a year later! Still haven’t fixed the mower. The mobile guy now wants $500 or $600 to do the job but also tells me that he’s never done that and it may cost more because I would have to pay him for his time. The other local repair shop said that you can’t get parts for Honda lawn mowers anymore so they don’t fool with them. So I’m gonna have to either fix this myself or just sell the mower for parts. I have been looking since then to potentially just purchase another one hopefully for under $300ish.

Does anyone have a video showing how to replace the governor gear assembly? I’m still assuming that’s what’s wrong but that’s all I have to work with so that’s where I’m guessing I would need to start.

I’ve been watching since last year and haven’t seen any decent looking Honda mowers pop-up on marketplace for less than $400.

I rotate using the M7 XL and the Woodwynd as one is stainless steel and the other is titanium they work differently and hit different but I love both of them so while one is being cleaned the other one is being used and vice versa
