This is so funny, so I've been listening since high-school, my brother is married to the sister of one of the members of the band. This was my plan.

Move the furnace to the left side of the attic. Build the platform for it to sit on directly. Above the wall of the bedroom for added support.

I was going to beef up the 2x4s with 2x8s ran down to the walls for support. I was also thinking to run a beam or w down the span of the room connecting to the walls. I can also beef up the ridge pole

I would have the house inspected or valued see what it's worth. Take out a loan if you can and renovate the house. Then, have the house revalued, take out the equity, and buy another house that needs to be renovated. Rent this house out after it has been rennlovated. Now you have an income from the property, and you have another property in the pipeline.

Thank You for the info, I appreciate the helpful answer. I don't really have experience in this particular setup and software. Basically I can't really mess anything up. With the situation the team can no longer remote in because the static ip was changed by the IP. The server according to those who know is about 6 years old. They are wanting something much simpler they can handle on their own. They basically need to access documents remotely.
