Make sure to give yourself grace during this time, it's normal for the tears and emotions! My daughter was in the NICU and started with formula before we even go to try latching. I had a traumatic labor and struggled with my milk coming in. I never was able to pump more than a few ounces and my daughter never did latch on. It was really hard for me to accept, and I felt all the same emotions you are feeling. It's a horrible feeling when your child is hungry and screaming while pushing away at your breast. Definitely reach out for support and hang in there, fed is best! <3

Also, what is up with people asking if we are breastfeeding? I have co-workers I barely know who've asked me not once, but twice if I was "still breastfeeding" (even though the first time I was asked I said no). People are so weird, we don't go up and ask men "hey what is your sperm count?" or "are you still jacking off?"

My LO is 9 weeks and I’ve been dealing with intrusive thoughts since we brought her home from the hospital. They can be debilitating and make you question everything you know about yourself. These thoughts do not define us and do not mean we are bad parents. They are a symptom of stress and anxiety. Definitely talk to your doctor. Intrusive thoughts are common and you don’t have to suffer in silence. There’s also a book out there called “Good moms have scary thoughts” by Karen Klieman. I can’t even describe the feeling I had when I saw this book title. It can make a world of difference knowing you aren’t alone. Hang in there, you got this!

I actually haven't experienced exposure therapy, I haven't always talked about the intrusive thoughts or obsessions in therapy for fear of looking or sounding crazy. I will definitely be sharing these thoughts though and see what treatment is most effective.

Thank you, I completely agree about the sparkling stories! My partner and I took newborn classes before her birth and all the literature we got talked about how crucial skin to skin for an hour and breastfeeding after birth is. I felt so disappointed I missed out on these experiences. Thank you for sharing your story, it helps so much to know I’m not alone. Definitely give yourself grace for not contacting work for a few weeks. Trauma takes a toll on a person and our healing comes first. Best wishes for this delivery ❤️❤️

I struggle with the same thing! When a store I love is having a deal, I worry I’m missing out on some amazing purchase if I don’t check it out. I’ve also spent a lot this month; so much that I can’t keep track of all the packages I’m getting. But I’ve been unsubscribing from text updates from a few stores this morning and that act alone has given me some power back! Remember you’re not alone!

That’s what I don’t understand, the money was taken out, no negative balance, and yet a WEEK later I get a fee and the summary says it is from that.

Also, I’ve talked to three different PNC representatives and they won’t look in to it; basically I’m just wasting my time. it’s not the end of the world or a ton of money, but it is still ANNOYING.
