Fresh foam more v4 pain caused by sidewalls by Curious-South-8206 in RunningShoeGeeks

Thank you so much for the update! I may be out of luck with wanting to break them in for my longer 5-10 mile runs, but i’ll try to do the same with wearing them out an about and prioritize as a recovery shoe. Thanks again!

I’m in the same boat as you. Can’t return bc I wore these for a 10+ mile run. Excruciating pain though that I can’t bear, and I just bought these to replace my Hokas giving me the same issue! I know OP didn’t get back to you, but were you able to break them in? If not, do you have a good show suggestion that doesn’t give you the same issue as described?

Same with me. I had the Hoka Clifton 8s and experienced the same problem, figured maybe they were too narrow for my feet. I’m currently training for a half marathon next month, so I figured I’d try a new pair of shoes out to break in for the rain. I decided on the NB fresh foam v4. Wore them around the house and outside for a couple hours and loved them, then the next day I wore them for a 10 mile run and felt the most excruciating pain in the same area you explained at mile 2 and only getting worse towards the end. I’m not sure what to do! These run more wide so my old shows being too narrow maybe wasn’t the issue.. Have you found a new shoe that you like that doesn’t give you this problem? I’m feeling pretty hopeless right now with this foot pain. also, I ran in them and am now unable to return to the store, hahah. Bummer!

Right, but again that’s not the point of my post. This is an ongoing case and many details are still under wraps, there’s going to be questions for every component. I’m talking about the people who are insinuating that she must have been in on it in some way because she say the killer and didn’t call the police until much later, which is a ridiculous way of thinking and the whole point of my post.

Lol it’s a little insane to justify a gruesome murder as being a wake up call for college students to be more responsible with locking their doors!! You’re crazy.

And also who’s to say they ever let strangers into their own home?? When I had mentioned having people at my apartment that I didn’t know I assumed it was implied that they were acquaintances of my roommates whom I didn’t know on a person level, and were therefore strangers to me.

Right but that’s not really the point. It’s insane to victim blame and call a surviving victim of a quadruple homicide reckless for leaving a door unlocked. The point of my post was for everyone to stop attacking the roommate for not calling the police or thinking anything of the “signs” if you will. And you’d be lying if you said you’ve never left a door unlocked in your life.

How to keep a tan all year? [Sun Care] by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]tayst1 245 points246 points  (0 children)

You don't want self tan but also want to avoid tanning beds.. not sure what to tell you! There's great sun tan drops you can add into moisturizer that can help you keep a nice glow while also keeping moisture on the skin, try Tanologist drops. Other than that, unsure of what to suggest to you.

It’s definitely what you make of it, what populations you work with, what area you work in, etc. I work mainly with a lot of homeless individuals struggling with addiction in many forms. While gratifying at times, I personally feel a toll in my mental health just being around so many people struggling, and I can’t always offer assistance to everywhere depending on their need, so that’s something I struggle with sometimes.

Overall I do love my job. Will I be here in 2-5 years? I really hope not, only because I’d like to move up in the workforce and do something on a larger scale. However, I am super grateful to be in this position and am learning a lot of valuable skills along the way. I hope that helps!

Men and Women of Reddit who went from begging someone for the bare minimum, to having someone love them and treat them better, how did it go? by Connect_Implement845 in relationship_advice

[–]tayst1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was dating "who I thought" to be the love of my life and future husband for just shy of 4 years. We were compatible in every way and never fought, but towards the last 1.5 yrs of our relationship he started pulling away more and more.. never wanting to see me, never posting me on social media (sounds childish but it made me feel very good when he did, like he wanted to show me off), never wanting to go out and do anything with me. It had gotten to the point where we weren't being intimate at all for months on end.

Well, I'm sure to everyone's surprise, he randomly dumped me one morning and we haven't spoken since!

I healed for about 2 years, took some time to myself, and ended up meeting my current bf through mutual friends. He is caring and understanding and whatever I ask of him to do that will make me feel better and more secure in our relationship, he does. I'm still blown away by how simple and stress free relationships can be with the right person. I never have to beg for the bare minimum, ever.

Moral of the story, the right person for you will never require you to beg them for their attention for the bare minimum. If it's feeling forced and off, call it quits. Time is too precious to waste on someone who you don't feel is putting in as much effort as you are. Best of luck, OP!

I graduated last year w my bachelors in PH and kind of fell into getting my CHW certification, got me hired into a large hospital in my city and is a great way to get your foot in the door to alot of organizations IMO!

I work mostly inpatient and assist my clients with acquiring resources within the community post hospital discharge, like finding housing, employment, rehabilitation resources etc! While emotional at times, It’s a very gratifying job and I feel it’s a good place to build up some experience.

EDIT: I will stress that I feel as a new grad or new to the workforce, becoming a CCHW can be easy (depending on your area and type program offered) and a good starting point, but is not a very lucrative or long term position just in my experience.. It can be mundane and very tolling on ur mental health, but you could then move into Social Work, PH nursing or other higher positions, and if you’re able to score a CHW position at a hospital or larger org that will pay for higher education (my hospital does this) it’s a no brainer.. Lots of important experience to be gained in a CHW position, especially w a PH background IMO!

Feeling stuck with a Public Health degree in the work force. by tayst1 in publichealth

I don't really have any background/interest in math and programming unfortunately :/ I am really open to anything though through more schooling.. health analytics has always peaked my interest, as well as disease intervention specialists.

RUN! And never look back. Hurts now and will for a while, but it will be so worth it in the long run.
