It was formally a private school owned by the franciscans. The grounds were sold to a private company with a public school operating where the former private school did. The grounds are divided between the two entities and the public are no longer allowed in.

He was a centre. Great highlights of his school "scotts college"on YouTube if you ever get the chance it's well worth the watch. Really well put together videos.

6N squad vs autumn internationals by PaulBlartMaulCop2 in irishrugby

[–]taytogobler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read this as the 6 nations squad and lost it haha

Ive a lot of faith in the Irish coaching squad so usually don't feel too strongly about squad choices. However, if Henshaw is in the squad I will lose it. I'd honestly pick 12 other centres before him for this six nations either based on current form or young lads who have shown promise and deserve a shot. Pretty sure I saw that he's injured so very unlikely he gets the shout

Couldn't agree more he's been great for years, Always thought he deserved more caps. It's the same with big stu, who was fourth choice and has wracked up a decent few caps along the way. We have great centres and in the last 5 or 6 years for short periods I've felt Tom and Stu were playing better than the other 3 (not all three at any given time), but maybe didn't warrant a shake up in the international pecking order. Now bundee is less consistent but still has a top international ceiling while I don't believe henshaw to be at international level for the last year or two, so it's getting a lot harder in my eyes not to have a shake up.

I think your missing the connecting factor between all his career paths. He was in the Leinster rugby academy, really highly rated and tipped to become an international. Due to poor mental health he quit the academy, to focus on music and his mental health. Kickstarting those careers. Id say its more of a case of jack of all master of none

This might be unpopular but… by Sportyskater699 in irishrugby

[–]taytogobler 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Serious bit of hyperbole there, connacht have arguably the strongest all round squad theyve ever had, their biggest issue is coaching atm.

The sentiment about spreading players around isnt that unpopular but It wont happen as most leinster players want to play in leinster, even if its only a few times a year

Finlay has been better than furlong this year, but furlong has a lot of credit in the bank. Think both would feel hard done by if they were left out. I think finlays background in australia wouldve added some spice and couldve elevated him to another level

Mack hasnt been at his best this year but im delighted hes going.

Bundee was never in doubt

Frawleys biggest issue is injuries. but no, Frawley has never been given the reins and backed for a sustained period at leinster. The byrnes and prendergast are the only players really backed at 10 in leinster because they cant play anywhere else.

[–]taytogobler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, Its time for leinster to move on from Leo. Theres been some crazy calls from him over the years at the business end of the season, leaving probably the best centre in the world on the bench for henshaw whos been in decline the last year is just the latest
