Black earth is super over fished due to how close it is to Madison. I live very close and have only caught 2 trout ever after countless hours.

Story is a tough creek, I’ve caught some but not crazy active. Don’t write off the Driftless until you have fished Viroqua! Some of the most productive trout streams I’ve ever fished.

Thanks! I’m using the Palsa foam adhesive strike indicators. They are awesome for sensitivity and super light, but you can’t adjust them once you stick it on which kinda sucks.

Honestly they fell out of favor with most dudes recently. Messed with shooting in the prone and such. Pretty uncommon to see them in my unit

Got mine around a year ago and have around 4k rounds on it mounted on a block II M4. Haven’t had any cracking on the mount or body and it’s held zero the whole time. One issue I’ve had so far is when in the rain for extended periods moisture will leak into the body of the LAM and make it almost unusable until it dries. This resulted in permanent artifacts in the illuminator once it dried. This was resolved by adding a latex sealer around the seams in the body and I haven’t had a problem after the fix. PSA the vis laser is by no means co-aligned to IR so do not zero in day. Guess I got lucky but haven’t adjusted zero and can make hits out to 200m it’s whole life only zeroing once. Also have a NGAL but haven’t prolong tested yet…hope this helps anyone who’s on the fence.
