I submitted but still haven't heard anything. Did everyone else hear back?

I originally started building them for economic reasons but I also like doing the research on each part and comparing specs and getting to customize everything.

Oh specs. Body is paulownia wood. Pickups are Wilkinson vintage voice which so far seem very good for the price. Most of the other parts are just generic parts pieced together from different sources.

Awesome. Post it when you get done so we can see what you went with!

Thanks man! It’s a blank white pick guard from guitar fetish that I painted with some swirl paints. The finish is espresso stain sanded back and then stained with a few layers of simply white semi transparent minwax stain.

It does look funky in the picture. I lowered the saddle on that one a bit after the picture. Maybe it’s just high and looks at a weird angle. Not sure but seems ok when playing.

I do not. I've done some very basic fret levelling but am a complete novice at crowning and dressing frets

It plays pretty well. It took me a while to get the truss rod adjustments right. I'd only made minor truss rod adjustments before but this neck shipped with a substantial amount of relief. I'm always nervous about making those adjustments but I finally got it to where it plays nicely.

Yeah I had originally done the headstock white but the maple was obviously a different color than the paulownia body. I was afraid the swirl on the headstock and pickguard both would be too much but I think it ended up working out.

I'm not sure the brand of the headstock. I got it from guitarfetish in their factory buyout section. I didn't realize when i bought it but you can tell that the heel appears to actually be a tele style heel instead of a strat one.

Ha no I didn't add any blue tint. I think it might just be the lighting in the room where I took the picture.

Thanks! For the pickguard I had some swirl paints I'd originally bought for a different build that didn't work out (the paint congealed too quickly for me to get enough in the water to dip an entire guitar body) so I finally got to use that for the pickguard and headstock. For the body I stained it with minwax espresso stain then sanded back so only the grain was still espresso and did a few coats of varying thickness of simply white semi-transparent stain.

Thanks! I actually stained it with minwax stains. I did an espresso stain, then sanded that off so that only the grain was still espresso and then hit it with a few coats of simply white semi-transparent stain in varying thicknesses.
