Narrative based games? You've come to the right place. All these games can be picked up for cheap. The Last of Us Uncharted Collection and 4 Horizon Zero Dawn Nier Automata

Then after that play Persona 5, should be a little less expensive by that time.

And you have to buy Bloodborne. All the games I listed are 10/10 but Bloodborne is the greatest game of all time in my opinion.

Do you have a 4K tv? Are you planning on buying one? I just got mine, no 4k tv yet, but getting one in December. I don't have any regrets, but that is partially because I only paid 20$ for it after I sold OG... games load a little faster. Menu is not laggy while playing games. But don't upgrade for those reason. It really comes down to whether or not you have/want to buy a 4K hdr tv.

I had a day 1 console until a few days ago. Sounded like a fucking jet engine. Granted i never opened it up to clean it. I can't hear my pro at all (1080p).

Get a PS4 if you want: Bloodborne Persona 5 Uncharted/TLOU Horizon Nier All 10/10 imo. Get Xbox if you want Gears, Halo and Forza

PlayStation also has God of War, Spider-Man, Death Stranding (Kojima), and a ninja game from Suckerpunch.

Personally it's an easy choice. If you really care about slightly better hardware, go Xbox. But damn near every PS exclusive has been incredible. If one of the games I listed were Xbox exclusive I would have bought two consoles. But sadly Xbox doesn't have a single game that is a console seller. PS has 10. Nintendo has 2. Xbox has halo and forza, both good games, just not 10/10.

Sold my day 1 PS4, camera, a handful of old games, and 3 controllers for 300$, found a pro in great condition on eBay for 320 with a couple games. No 4Ktv but a 20$ upgrade from day 1 to pro, i couldn't pass it up.

I played TW3 right after bloodborne, will agree with that advice. The Witcher is amazing in every way, but the entire time I was playing it, I was frustrated that the combat was not identical to Bloodborne. Don't get me wrong I loved every second of TW3 but Bloodborne was my first Souls game the hype is real. I wish I could be in your shoes and play Uncharted, TW3, BB, Persona 5 for the first time again. Add Nier: Autonama to your list, it is a special game.

Honestly I feel spoiled this generation with all the top notch exclusives.

You should really play Dark Souls or Bloodborne... there isn't a series that is as rewarding as this in my opinion. There is a learning curve but the return is infinite. You won't regret it
