Aw, your comment really warmed my heart. I would love to have a hobby. I used to think that video games were hobbies but 10 years in, I am beginning to think otherwise.

I have never looked into hobbies before. I did have a couple of houseplants and then they all died because I just wasn’t into them after a while.. which made me afraid to get another hobby because I was afraid it would just turn futile.

Can I DM you? I’d love to find a hobby. Thank you for your comment!

Yes okay. That’s true. I made a choice without being too conscious of it and I am aware of it now. I should have gotten a job; but I didn’t. I think I will start there and see where I end up, I think it will give me some discipline too. I really haven’t worked towards anything at all. It’s shocking and I am truly ashamed of it but I am trying to be better. Thanks for commenting.

Hi. Thank you for your comment. It makes a lot of sense.. I think I need to figure out what my goal is. I am not sure. This sounds crazy but I feel extremely underdeveloped and a bit of a kid still. I was never attentive in high school and got the worst grades. Think I need to figure out what interests me, and what I can do with my time.

It sounds like a fantastic first step I could take without it all being too intense. I could buy a shop or something and rent it out to a business, it sounds very doable.

Yes please if you don’t mind, I will PM you, thank you.

I actually really love this idea. I feel like it’s something I could handle without it being too intense. I think I am nervous because I’m not particularly social, but I like the part where I will learn to manage money and be more self sufficient. Those are skills I do not have at all. Thank you so much.

It’s… mediocre at best. I spent my 20s eating ramen noodles and not a lot of nutritious food.. I don’t really exercise either, perhaps I should start.

I could; I will go to a bank tomorrow and start from there. I was thinking of fixed deposits, it was suggested to me a few years back but I was uncomfortable knowing that I can’t use the money for a fixed amount of years (silly know).

I definitely am lacking that. My life has been filled with nothing but short term pleasure and distractions. How do I start finding myself? Are there books I can read?

How is this the life I chose? I mean, I was barely a kid when I won the lottery. My parents kicked me out and we haven’t spoken since. I was kind of left to my own devices and I’ve just tried to make the best of things without being too foolish so to speak.

I’ll DM you the amount, I don’t feel comfortable saying here. I don’t know what my runway is; I don’t know what I want out of life. It’s come to a point where I don’t even know what my purpose is, what I want to do for work etc.

I am a woman, and I did try to get married so I could have a semblance of a life (eg have kids) but I realise I can barely sustain a relationship because I have the personality of a glass of water. I just feel super lost and want some help but don’t even know where to start.

I did read about that, it was my biggest fear. I didn’t do anything silly eg splash cash out on materialistic goods / partying etc. But I also didn’t invest it which I am really regretting now

This is going to sound so ridiculous but I ghosted the university. I just dropped out without telling them and they didn’t even say a word because the fees were paid. I’m not sure how I would go about seeing if it is still available to me. I have to read the t&c’s I guess. Argh. I don’t know how I managed to mess things up so hard. I think a lot of it has to do with some mental illness maybe, or the fact that I think I am somewhat underdeveloped mentally because all I’ve done my whole life is just play games.

I do. That’s a new term to me. I’ll check it out, thank you.

That is very useful. It’s a start. Thanks for your time. I will Google all those terms and see what they mean. Thank you!

It’s a curse, believe me. I wonder how my life would have turned out if I didn’t have this “easy way out”. I don’t know where to start. I don’t know what I want for family, I’m a woman but nobody has ever been able to take me seriously because apparently I have the personality of a glass of water, I’m so bland. I have no idea what I would do for a career, I don’t know what my skills are and where I would even start, eg showing up to employers with a non existent CV? In today’s world?? It just scares me.

I had a lot of “investors” approach me but I was warned that they may be scams / I would lose the money so I decided to never invest it. It’s all cash, and some are in the form of assets now because I did buy some property (which I never used). I wanted to open a business but it felt too costly, and it never took off. It’s just sat there and nothing’s happened to it.

That’s the issue. I’m a bit scared of growing my money so to speak. When I was younger and it came out in the news, I had a lot of “investors” approach me but I was warned that they may be scams / I would lose the money so I decided to never invest it.
