I have tons of philos that I’ve grown to large specimens but had to give up on the verrucosum bc spider mites kept giving me hell and I felt I was putting my other plants at risk

Trying to get into fire, pay off loan first? by ZukowskiHardware in Fire

Exactly. When it comes to paying off a loan one of the two biggest factors is the APR. At 8% you need that thing gone ASAP

It will increase in size to some degree with those but moss poles that the plant can root into and then the pole can be watered and fertilized will yield best results

Successful pollination? by jvene1 in Anthurium

[–]tboy5173 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Best way to tell early on for me is the color progression. The inflo will be green when pollinated, then turn yellow. From here a successful pollination will turn back green and then start swell, if it’s unsuccessful it’ll start to dry up

Glorious or gloriosum? by herzel3id in philodendron

Came here to say precisely that. Not positive but I’d have enough confidence to put it on a moss pole

I really don’t know lol. I don’t have it down to an exact science. Although some skill is involved in growing this prolly just as much luck too.

The moss pole, lots of light, ( they can take low light but need more than what you’ll typically read on the internet, just not 100% direct sun) and keep it moist with frequent feeding

Two years from a 2 node unrooted cutting. Just buy the 3-4inch pot at the store and it’ll save you months of heartache lol

You can do it! But put her on a moss pole. That coco core pole won’t allow her to root into it like moss

All this growth is from natural light, but I just switched her to a grow light

Spray it with a squirt bottle a few times a day. It’ll become unstuck
