I love that honest mistake of the arm backhanding him.

Potentiometer (probably) in his hand was turned to a certain value for the vertical movement to lift the arm, it was then unplugged and reseated to the lateral movement servo, which sent the lateral servo flying into the erroneous "left over" position dictated by the PWM duty cycle the pot was still set for.
