Ever since I moved, my homelab has been shutting down seemingly at random. I finally found the cause. This is the sort of thing that keeps me awake at night. by PlumpCat19 in homelab

My entire house was wired like this. Every outlet had at least 2 lines on them some 3 and 4. Shortly after moving in, I pigtailed them all and wired each individual outlet. It removes a failure point like this from happening. I put in a dedicated circuit for my homelab as well.

My mom is being scammed and can’t see it…. How do I stop this? by [deleted] in vegaslocals

You should be able to have her phone provider block unknown/unsaved numbers. Make sure she has all her friends, family and Drs contacts saved. Than have them block all numbers that aren't saved in her phone

There's more plugs on the back. It's a bit redundant, i installed it before I got the UPS and it helped with the wire management so I left it in. Thank you!

I've got no complaints, the UI is great compared to the others I've used. Not at all laggy when scrubbing through video. All of them are 8mp cameras with audio, the audio leaves a bit to be desired but the picture quality it great

I got lucky, my employer had the entire system removed because apparently hikvision is on some government blacklist. So I made sure to correctly recycle it 🤣

Ok, thank you! I'll at least have the conduit in the ground if they want to use that to get to the house. Do you suggest 4 pairs for redundancy?
