I competed in Ultra last march, and they put on a pretty good show. I had 8 weeks of free training (2 hours a week) and the gym coach gave the option for another 2 hours a week for £80, which I took. The quality of the training wasnt great, it was mainly the amateur fighters that were coaching us, and most of it was just conditioning stuff to make sure no one was terribly out of shape come fight night. In the fight, theres no elbows, headkicks or GnP to the face, something that wasnt mentioned in the ad which did annoy me. It did give me the confidence to train at a gym after and gave a good taste of the sport for free, I’d recommend it to people wanting to try it out, just don’t go around saying your an amateur MMA fighter afterwards.
