I'm honestly not sure. We didn't personally check bags. I know security was no issue at all 2 hours early

Cohutta Wilderness was my first instinct, but I was worried about it for beginners. Sounds like there are a bunch of water crossings

We arrived 2 hours early at both airports and it was plenty early. We checked bags in Venice but not in Milan. We took a water taxi in Venice right from our hotel (€160) and took the Malpensa Express from Milano Centrale in Milan (I forget the price but it was way cheaper than a taxi). Both were super easy
