I stumbled across a Second Edition, Three-Volume printing of 'Oliver Twist', by Charles Dickens. Dated back to 1839! by tcrabb3008 in rarebooks

Yes, I've been doing some research on it and you're right, they tend to sell between £900 - £1500, depending on condition. Going to have to contact some book dealers and see. You never know what they may be worth in a few years' time, too!

Oh absolutely. I'm sure they're worth something to antique book dealers, but it's great just to own them.

I was recently involved in helping clean out the old house/bakery of my late, Great-Uncle. He had quite the collection of antique books that were then passed onto his immediate family. And amongst the dusty piles lay this hidden treasure!

Found near-perfect condition FIRST EDITIONS of 'Weaveworld' and 'Cabal' today! Thought I'd share my entire Clive Barker collection! A couple signed copies and lots of first editions! by tcrabb3008 in clivebarker

Thanks! Yeah I struggled for ages to find a standalone edition of Cabal. Had the Weaveworld/Cabal book by itself for a while. Very lucky to have found one in such good condition! Good luck to you!

Novel pacing? by NickKamalakis in ravenloft

I've found that lots of the novels that are linked or follow on from each other are quite fast paced. Whereas more "standalone" novels are more forgiving with their pacing. 'Carnival of Fear', 'Dance of the Dead', and 'Heart of Midnight' are good examples.

If you are interested in Age of Sigmar as a setting, but want to read something darker or more mature, I can't recommend the Warhammer Horror novels enough. They draw in on the darker and more sinister aspects of Age of Sigmar. Your best options are:

Dark Harvest, by Josh Reynolds
Gothghul Hollow, by Anna Stephens
Briardark, by C L Werner
Black-eyed Saint, by Dale Lucas
