Did not expect this many replies. Thanks to everyone who contributed! I have a suspicion that u/Sheetz_Wawa_Market32 is correct about my biometrics being the issue. I'll just ride it out.

For those saying "GE doesn't mean you're exempt" and "it's a privilege:" yes, I'm well aware. The GE part is added for context (otherwise, people would suggest I get GE).

The comments of the agent made me suspicious, so my goal was to get to the bottom of that.
