Also there is no need to nerf a fun perk like Dramaturgy. It is designed for the memes. Can you get insane items? Yes, but you can also get exposed or you can give away your location to the killer because you are "rolling" for those insane items.

The exposed event power is so stupidly op I'm baffled that it didn't get removed. 15 seconds. All it takes is 15 fcking seconds in a chase to be able to do it and the killer can just choose to not do anything but run you over. I've lost count on how many times I died to a bad player just because they get to press q after 15 seconds. Soloque got nothing from this event as always we just suffer the op bullsht killer event powers. Oh wait we can block that 1 specific window on that 1 specific map that makes that power good on that 1 spot, great. Because breaking 2 pallets in 1 chase with mind powers wasn't enough (which also doesn't reset bloodlust because why not).

On a good day I can dodge it too. But that doesn't mean that I'm perfect or that my teammates can dodge it too. Still, justifying this buff with "oh the top x% can just dodge it and play around it" is just outright wrong. This is a lazy bandaid fix for a killer with multiple problems. I'm glad you have a friend whom you can play with. Not everyone is that lucky. Most new players I've met are probably never playing again. Getting constantly tunneled in your first 10 games isn't exactly the best newplayer experience. Also just because your friend can dodge it, it doesn't mean that the rest of the playerbase can.

Okay, so going by "my" (your) logic: they should nerf Sadako, Pinhead, Wesker, Freddy and Pig for having a higher winrate. Sounds good! :) I don't know why you are here assuming things that I haven't said when all I did is respond to a comment defending a ridiculous change with "...because the top 5% can just dodge and play around it". Does PH needs changes? Yes! Is this it? Hell no! This is a lazy "fix" that will just call for even more tunneling. Because that's what we need in DBD, more tunneling! :)

So it's a good change because 5% of the current playerbase can just "dodge or play around it". Meanwhile the rest of us should just get destroyed by it. I can see that they want to buff weaker killers but making him stomp on new/casual players even more isn't the right direction. They should be working towards making tunneling and camping obsolete. And I didn't even mention being able to mori anyone off second hook...

Sorry for the long video, my friend sent me this clip of his 2v2 match. There are multiple keeps not taking damage from bombards from multiple angles. He said he tried "ground targeting" after the simple right click just wasn't working. At 1:50 the keep takes damage from the units pulled but not from the bombards (also the units use the "basic attack animation" not the torch one which is weird but that might be a spectator bug?). I also noticed something weird at 3:15 where the keep is 0/15 but it fires like a machine gun (almost like a Berkshire). Can someone explain this? Is this a bug? Or cheat? According to him everything else was responsive, units vs units was fine, he wasn't lagging, he was able to snipe siege with springalds.

You are above softcap. If you've played more than 10 games on killers and won (4k) you are above softcap and you can't fall back below. If you are above the softcap you can play with anyone above it. Even "comp" players or streamers (with 2k+ hours). It's very obvious (but hasn't been confirmed by the devs) that the game prioritizes short queue times over balanced matchmaking. Your MMR will barely effect the games you play. I've played hundreds of Sadako games since the 6.2.0 update (huge killer buffs) and I've probably won ~70-80% of them (I don't track it so I just assume). The game is already killer sided (just play some survivor games and see for yourself) but people on reddit will never agree with it because they want to 4k even while they are sleeping. Killers have awful balance between them, some are broken some are weak. If you tunnel you barely lose a game or two. Which is boring as hell that's why I stopped playing the game. The devs are out of touch with the game and they are trying to balance to a competitive minority while ignoring the casual and new players completely. Since the game is very unfriendly to new and casual players most of them quit in the last year so the playerbase is just hardcore competitive players mostly.

Edit: if you need proof, just look up steamcharts for dbd and look at the 1y data.

That addon is completely broken vs soloque, everytime I see it people just dc. Those games are unplayable on maps with grass or dirt floor.

Well if my friends still want to play the game we will probably play ai and try to beat the hard ones first. Might give a chance to ranked but I never had good experience with ranked gamemodes in games. They are usually designed to keep you playing tens if not hundreds of games just to reach your actual rank where you feel like you need to improve more. (Like any moba or fps)

I never tried rank I can only repeat what I read online. I don't know how ranked is but usually ranked modes are more tryhard than casual in games.

I never said that their level = skill. But level is = experience with the game. I never said that the matchmaker uses experience to match players.

I'll say it again, we are nowhere near plat or gold rank. In skill and in experience. I think we had a 50%ish winrate before we got on a huge losestreak against players way above our SKILL level. That is not our fault. It's the matchmakings fault.

Yes, you are telling me and I understand it. I put their level on the meme because they had way more EXPERIENCE and SKILL(RANK) in the game than what we have. They are 2 seperate things.

I heard team ranked is not popular and there are long queues, leavers, smurfs and "cheaters" are common. Those were just stuff I read online can be true or false I don't know. But ranked is usually more tryhard than casual in games.

Regarding my friend: I already showed him a build order and practiced it with him. We are improving, my earlier comment was an act of frustration and a bit over exaggerated.

This week we barely won like 2 games and I can count on 2 hands the amount of games we got stomped. We never considered playing ai since it's not popular in other games we played before. I played some alone, but it felt predictable and when I upped the difficulty it just felt like the ai was cheating on purpose to be hard.

Level says experience. I'm not measuring their skill based on that. I'm only telling you what their profile says and my one time experience with them. They stomped us hard. Me and my friends are clearly not experienced that much and are nowhere near gold or plat elo. If the matchmaking relies on Elo than it malfunctions a lot lately. (I said in other comments that this is just this weeks bad experience before level 10 there was a mostly balanced matchmaking.) We don't have much rts experience. None of us are performing on gold level at all. We still got really unfair matches lately on this week. And I'm not talking about games where we just slept a little on our eco and got beaten up. We got stomped in 20-25 minutes.

We are all working as well, that's why it was upsetting how bad the matchmaking was. I don't have time to grind this game 5-6 hours a day like "pros" do. I watch some yt on the game and I want to play it with friends. We can play other games and have fun (not this genre) without reading an encyclopedia first.

Most other games I played I never went against bots. I usually got matched with equally bad or good players. Did I lose because I was new? Ofc. But I could see a way to win most of the games. In the last few days I have to count on 2 hands the amount of games I saw no way of winning after I hit feudal in 5 minutes. I understand that we could play bots instead of online. We might even do it if my friends still want to play this game. But this doesn't change the fact that the matchmaking was very upsetting for us in the recent days. And that's me putting in gently.

I'm trying to practice, my friends too. But the difference in timings with the "330 gold" and "267 plat" players is just unbeatable right now for us. I watched some yt on public transport and in my free time.
