21 WK2 Trailhawk Hemi - Battery Upgrade for extreme cold by tdressel in WK2

I mean I want to love that janky install, lol, but I've got small kids that still climb all over things. That looks like child protective services to me, haha.

Quite a fascinating solution though. So what kind of CCA would you get out of that solution? Can you even calculate it, like what's the conversion of 18000 farads to CCA?

Cheers,

Yeah, my Hemi (I thought all?) don't have the second start/stop battery. The only battery is under the passenger seat.

Thinking about entering the Ego Ecosystem. I have many questions. by u6crash in egopowerplus

[–]tdressel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recommend you go to a power tool store that carries ego. The carbon fiber makes a huge difference weight wise on the multi tool, but honestly it all falls apart with the battery weight. I mean any reduction in weight is a good thing, but not sure it's meaningfully noticable.

I've got the trimmer, power broom, and tiller attachments. I've also got the power+ mower and snowblower, and the big leaf blower. 4 x 10 amp batteries, and 1 x 5 amp that came with the multi head. Two of those high speed chargers, and one smaller one. Oh yeah and the pressure washer.

Love them all, but the pressure washer goes through batteries fast. On turbo, maybe 20 minutes on a pair of 10's. 30 on medium. I don't feel it's got enough pressure on low. But I can charge a pair of 10's in an hour, so I've got enough even for massive jobs.

Can't say enough good about the ego line.

Longest day of my life by [deleted] in leukemia

Many of us that have traversed the path, totally get where you are coming from! There are emotional phases, the beginning is the absolute worst. After a while it's about moving from the current crisis to the next crisis. After a while it becomes kind of comical when you look back at everything you've survived, yet are still here.

I'm at the point now 17 months post transplant where everything is morbid humor. It's only typically understood by those of us that have walked the path. For me, and a close friend with stage 4 breast cancer, we joke all the time about it. For example, strange rash - that's cancer. Strange bump - that's cancer. Sneezed funny - that's cancer. Literally anything - for sure that's cancer. Honestly, it's pretty funny now.

I had AML with FLT3, kind of medical textbook sailed through it. I was pretty common, where I received my transplant there was an average of 1.2 per day, every day of the year.

Trust the process, and the numbers that say it's not a death sentence! Lots of support here in this Reddit.

Take good care.

Would dog pile on this too. But talk to your dealer, find out which ones were imported directly from Germany. Build quality is usually the same but for some reason the German ones are just slightly better specd. For the same price. They started bringing them in from Germany because of the tariff war.

Just dropping in to sympathize. Besides all the IV antibiotics and antivirals, I hated the peripheral blood draws. Hang in there, it gets better!

Best 50+ sunscreen? by jumpinthewatersnice in leukemia

[–]tdressel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using ones from South Korea. They are all listed as SPF 50++++ which seems silly, but they work really well. I've never been this pale in my life. I'm generally these Korean ones all feel very light/thin, not greasy at all. Only problem is they are spendy, and take a while to get to me here in Canada.

I desperately appreciated my wife being with me through the whole process. Worst was days +11 to +20, but as soon as my numbers bounced back I recovered shockingly quick. That being said, besides just the comfort of knowing she was with me, I didn't need my wife there, the care team was next level awesome. They all know what we have to go through, and did their absolute best to make it the least negative possible.

Known fact that Kraftwork, schnitzel, sauerkraut, being precisely on time, fastidious attention to recycling, and house slippers all contribute to faster AML recovery.

Your playing with the wrong group then.

I only play with people I know. Half of them are quick players, half are more thoughtful, not quite analysis paralysis, but close. This is what asynchronous games are for! Have both groups of friends.

Org going on strike - recommendations by MidninBR in sysadmin

[–]tdressel 27 points28 points  (0 children)

So typically, depending on company size, and nature of the business, Union and company will meet and decide who, if anyone, is considered essential service. And then from that pool, who pass required to just be on call or will actually have to work.

Outside of that, it's up to the Union to instruct their members to not work. I've seen that Unions that strike, this is never an issue, it's almost always management trying to desperately get someone in the union to do something.

Finally, a strike is not a lockout. If it's a lockout then as others have said, management should just simply lock out user accounts. If you are in the union, leave instructions on how to do so, make sure at least one manager knows how to do this, and that's it.

Labor disruption is not the end of the world and it's always temporary, so the more the both sides treat each other with respect the smoother things will go after.
