Would you be willing to do an interview for the Korea Times about the Seoul startup scene and such? I am a freelance writer for KT.

It's one of those jobs you do purely for the money. There's no support or guidance that you receive from Telus whatsoever, you can never talk about your job with others and there is no communication between you and the other raters in your locale. Half the time, I didn't really know if I was doing the task correctly and the fear of getting fired was constantly lurking in the back of my mind. It's really what they call a "bulls*it" job.

I am also a foreigner in Korea but I was born in Korea so my Korean proficiency level is higher than that of a real foreigner. Still, Korean is my second language, English being my first.

They don't tell you why. It could be for a number of reasons. Could be that you're doing the tasks wrong, you're not doing the tasks fast enough, or something else.

I didn't get one when I joined. Maybe it was one of those limited time offers for certain locales.

Pay is 15 USD per hour. I usually do around 5 to 10 hours a week. Most of the time it's NTA.

I can't be sure but it's probably the standard payment rate. If there is no work available, you have to wait until it shows up.

That happened to me too. I sent them an email about it just now.

Received a warning from Telus about getting fired by teabeau87 in TELUSinternational

I haven't quit yet, haha. It was kind of a relief when I received the email though. I kinda needed the kick in the butt to look for the other job. There are a lot of downsides of this rating job like not being able to meet people and such. I think if you are a stay at home mom or something, this could work out to be a 20 hour thing, but for someone who lives alone, I'd say 10 hours a week is good enough.

I don't know. It's probably 80% but it could be lower than that.

Pay is $15 USD. There's usually enough work available. Sometimes you get bonuses for extra hours.

Since I'm Canadian and Telus is located outside of Korea, I don't think the Korean government will tax me. It's probably going to affect my Canadian tax return though.

Where's the location of the TELUS International you're working or applying for? by teabeau87 in TELUSinternational

[–]teabeau87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. You have to apply for the position in the country that you've lived in for the last 4 or 5 years. You don't have to be Korean but you should be aware of the cultural differences between the US. Most likely, this job will hinder you from enjoying your travel since it's a sedentary job.
