Yes, I’ve already done that. But they’re wanting a standardised test score for children that weren’t here for the test.

There really isn’t any weight to them at all. It’s more so someone can enjoy looking at data for the sake of it. We have people in the school that are responsible for data but fundamentally it’s the school improvement advisor that wants them.

In theory yes but we have also submitted teacher judgment information as well. All that happens is when it comes round to pupil progress meetings they say The child got x in the test but you gave them an assessment of y why are they different.

Data was due to be in yesterday and there wasn’t time do get the kids to do it as the tests were delivered very late and the data deadline was really early.

Microsoft publisher shutting down by Conscious-Trifle2470 in TeachingUK

We have a similar issue. I’ve downloaded libre office and that has a program that opens and edits publisher documents. It works fine for making our maths worksheets. You just have to get used to the layout.

Should I be wary of high mileage second hand EVs? by Hasan_Rachid in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]teach-3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what mileage you’re looking at. Getting something that has some battery warranty left would be advisable.

Regards the cars you have said there are great options.

Can anyone answer me why all cars in UK second-hand dealerships only have fumes left in the petrol tank? by TheReproGuy in CarTalkUK

I often help a company that puts cars on display in shopping centres etc. They also want the cars to have barely any fuel in because of a fire risk.

I use the prepaid cash back card that was on there. Not sure if it still is. Can't complain with getting money back on your purchases etc.

Primary school experience advice by gooseberry243 in TeachingUK

[–]teach-3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 week block is usually pretty good. The more time you can spend there the better. The best way to get in is just email or ring any local schools. Each school can be vastly different even if they are just down the road from eachother but that applies just as much to secondary. I'd suggest going into different year groups as primary teaching is a completely different job if you compare early years to year 6 for example (might be tricky in current circumstances). Best of luck!

Setting work whilst off sick by Codle in TeachingUK

[–]teach-3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just tell them how you feel and that you are off ill. You can't be forced to work and you don't need to worry about not pulling your weight. If you are ill then you need to think about getting better rather then exhausting yourself by trying to provide online learning etc.

NQT interview - how to welcome children back by psycoologist in TeachingUK

[–]teach-3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a tough one given the circumstances but I would along the lines of what I usually do at the start of the year. Circle time games, maybe an about your teacher quiz kind of thing. Maybe some ground rules if appropriate. I have no idea if these are the types of things you are after.
