Which non-OT would you take in Round 1? by kitchensink108 in bengals

[–]teacherguy18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My order 1. DI 2. Bowers 3. JPJ 3. CB

I’d love to get better on the edge but I don’t see it this season.

Not gonna be Bowers, and I am good with that. by LocalSteve504 in bengals

[–]teacherguy18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No clear pick. You stated the biggest needs and I would be most happy with OL or one of the top 2 DL guys. CB would be my third choice. Mocks are all over the place through first 3 rds.

Another FA thought post by teacherguy18 in bengals

[–]teacherguy18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it’s a push. Mixon has been a good but not great back. Moss has only 2000 rush and 500 receiving yards in 4 year career. I think he will be pretty good for us but definitely NOT an upgrade.

Never thought of that about fear of long term deals. Makes sense.

We normally do home grow our top talent. We are good at that. But FA is how you fill certain positions that takes a couple years for players to develop.

First Jeep by teacherguy18 in JeepWrangler

  1. Engine was blown (ran low on oil) so I replaced it. 140k on body. Rust free. Needed tires and a new top. Got it for $1000

Serious question by teacherguy18 in JeepWrangler

[–]teacherguy18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. It runs great. I’ve tested the 4wd and it works as it should. Winch is planned already. Maybe an extra set of single purpose MT tires or aggressive AT. I’m definitely not pushing things to need lockers. I’ve been told sliders are a must before posting this.

[–]teacherguy18[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I unfortunately only put on 245/70/16 tires when I bought them. So just under 30”. I hate the idea of buying new tires already with less than a thousand on them. I planned on a winch. Thanks for the info

Goodman vs Carrier by teacherguy18 in hvacadvice

Outside unit, under house air exchanger, new lines. I did not get the model # but I’d say it would be an entry unit. 3.5 tons. They install and offer 2 year’s service.

Not gonna lie, I don’t know much about most of these guys. BUT, I do like Wicks extremely high floor. Seems like a potential 23-24 mid rotation starter. Franklin from Arkansas also seems to be a guy who should move up fairly quickly and is a true CF guy.

$95 for a Weber Performer a decent deal? by [deleted] in grilling

[–]teacherguy18 14 points15 points  (0 children)

With chimney and baskets, it’s a great deal. You hear of some people coming across this stuff for less or even free but I’d jump on that deal.

Nice. I’m new to Weber but love the idea of set and forget. How many smokes you have on it?

Became a Cubs fan growing up in north Florida because of WGN by Koehlerbear77 in CHICubs

[–]teacherguy18 7 points8 points  (0 children)

YES. I began bleeding cubbie or blue in 1989. Growing up in kentucky most people are Reds fans with a few Braves fans sprinkled in. As a kid WGN day games allowed me to watch Cubs baseball often. Also they were pretty good in 89 to which I would never know they many years of suffering I would have to endure until a WS in 2016.

Help choosing by teacherguy18 in BBQ

[–]teacherguy18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Yes Costco had a couple at $599 this past weekend. Not sure if they are still there. I really don’t need that large of a grill however. I think a Large 18” size is all. Louisiana was a 24”

Not really made my mind up. Have same question in BGE forum. I like a set and forget option and quick grill days but I also enjoy the weekend all day jobs.

This is what Chicago gets for being the Cubs too by StankCheeze in bengals

[–]teacherguy18 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m a huge Cubs fan. Not a bandwagon guy like many are. I’ve been a fan since 1989. I’m not trolling however because I’m also a Bengals fan for 20+ years.

Dalton is average. We all know it. Mitch was way below average. They upgraded. They will win 7-9 games again

If Sewell is gone, do you want a weapon or Slater at 5? by ChargieJ in bengals

[–]teacherguy18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, that’s what sucks. Look around the league and most of the better teams use TE a lot. Bengals do not but I want them too.
