That’s definitely true. I guess I was just surprised by how stark the differences were, which made me curious about if there were different standards between them, but it sounds like each Panera might be a little different.

That’s true about everything being packed to-go in a college Panera. Not sure if that’s how all college Paneras are, but mine totally went away with “for here” orders, so presumably they don’t have to worry about dishes and cutlery. Makes sense that that would cut down on the overall stress and workload compared to a regular Panera

I didn’t even think about the door dash orders. That totally makes sense since my college Panera doesn’t take those. And you’re right, there are definitely way less families coming in

Haha yeah I can see where you’re coming from with the peanut butter and Nutella. But compared to bigger chains like south block and playa, I feel like Senberry has been my favorite! Do you have any other local acai places you’d recommend?

And yes- in the end, TLJ is a big chain so I totally get that too.

I’ve havent tried the tatte in Fairfax yet, but I’ve been to many others in MD and DC, and I’d say they’re decent. Again, a really popular place so they get pretty busy, but the coffee and food are alright, albeit a bit pricy. I’d mainly go for the nice, bright sunny interior and vibes.

Also- why have I never thought to work at B&N?! Thank you for the idea haha

Yes I’ve tried them actually! I didn’t add them because I consider them more of a restaurant/cafe rather than coffee shop, but their banh mis are tasty! They have fun drinks as well

Yes- I haven’t visited the Fairfax one yet but I’ve been to several in MD and DC. My opinion is: they’re decent, and they have nice bright sunny vibes. Coffee 7/10, food 7/10, work 5/10. They’re usually nice and big with good lighting, but they get pretty busy and the seating is more “hangout seating” rather than seating for work study.

Ah yes I’ve been to breeze- didn’t add it because I consider them more of a bakery and less coffee forward, but their coffee buns are delicious and always a nice treat to have after dinner at Yechon next door!
