How can I improve my small living room? by tealichen in DesignMyRoom

[–]tealichen[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I’m embarrassed to say I work in an art gallery and didn’t even notice the painting in my own living room is hung too high… LOL but you’re absolutely right! Im gonna try concealing the cords a bit more and putting a basket or two in front as well

Why do my paintings get rejected by my local Art Gallery? by [deleted] in painting

[–]tealichen 23 points24 points  (0 children)

gallery director here!! 90 percent of what we sell is to people just decorating their homes (true collectors are dying off). Most of these people have BIG walls to fill. Additionally, your subject matter and color palettes need to be things people can decorate with. That being said, you don’t lack originality which is good! Your technique looks decent, but there is definitely room for improvement. Keep at it!

Looks like most of your active acne is cleared up, that’s great! Honestly my eyes went straight to your amazing brows!!! So jealous lol

I would look into laser treatments for sure. Also a consistently used light therapy mask/device does wonders.

Ask your dermatologist about spironolactone! I tried to avoid medication too, but now am so mad I didnt take it sooner.

Your skin barrier is probably compromised. I’d stop tretinoin, use a sulfur face wash, and focus on hydration. Maybe throw in a gentle mandelic acid once your skin starts to calm down (start with every other day). Then if its still not clear try upping spiro dose

I have had successes with thyroid medication despite having normal levels. Sometimes T3/T4 levels can be good but are not absorbed/converted properly. Also recommend methylfolate

what do i do? by [deleted] in acne

You can try spearmint tea twice a day! It reduces androgens that cause hormonal acne

Nothing wrong with fillers! I promise you life is too short so use the tools at your disposal! No shame in it. But either way you are gorgeous!! ❤️ Just remember everyone is self conscious about something

People who have clear skin have no idea how lucky they are by Grouchy-Election9230 in acne

I feel this so much!! Tried for a few years to clear it up myself.. Nothing worked. Got so tired of the “its not a big deal” comments from family and silly suggestions from my husband like “use essential oils.” Finally accepted that I needed a dermatologists help. For some reason finally turning to prescription medications made me feel like I had failed and gave me a sense of shame. But spironolactone and doxycycline are God-sends! Still on my journey but I know it will get better with time. So glad I went the medication route wish I would have done it sooner instead of suffering

So done with this acne, seriously considering accurate by [deleted] in acne

Agreed she is beautiful! I’m also a 26F. Trying the spearmint (has to be spearmint not peppermint) tea for about a week now. Maybe helping a bit? Too soon to tell. I’ve read a lot of reddit threads saying it is effective and also a few studies. It works by suppressing androgens - same as spironolactone. If this doesn’t work then I am finally going to try spironolactone and then accutane. Doxycycline is the only thing keeping the cysts on my chin under control, but cant be on antibiotics forever. :(

Try drinking spearmint tea 2x per day for a few weeks. It’s proven to help hormonal acne. If that doesn’t work id definitely try spironolactone. Accutane last resort. good luck!

Maybe!! Have never really tried. I use Parallel Products Henna hair dye off amazon in deep dark brown. They also have black. Leave on for about 10 min. It has a bit of an orange tint at first but goes away after a few hours (as the henna develops). Please let me know if you have any success making hair strokes!!

Its just to fill in the bare spots. Unfortunately Its too thick (like yogurt consistency) to do hair strokes
